Amazing tour with our guide, Bishoo.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Bishoo on our tour of Old Coptic Cairo, the Citadel of Salahadin & Alabaster Mosque, and the Khan el-Khalili bazaar. Bishoo is Coptic Christian, so his insight into Christianity in Egypt and knowledge of both the Hanging Church and Church of the Cavern was unparalleled, and you could feel the pride he felt sharing the long history with us and my children. It was a very moving experience. The citadel and mosque were amazing as well - Bishoo provided great background knowledge, but also left us alone to explore as we saw fit for a while. Finally, having him as a guide at the bazaar was priceless. He was very nice in teaching the children the basics of haggling - including never to say "I really REALLY want this" in front of the shopkeeper! He also took us to a few trusted spots where I actually felt like we got great deals on alabaster, a chess set, and jewelry for my wife and daughter. I can't recommend him highly enough, and he made the tour a truly memorable experience.

Very convenient and informative tour

We were very pleased with our guide, arrived on time, very professional, very good English skills, excellent knowledge and eager to reply a lot of questions. As we had a private tour we asked for some small modifications or some time to enjoy a coffee, guide was happy to accommodate and gave as our time, didn't feel rushed at any point.

Old Cairo

We had a fabulous tour of Old Cairo with Ehab and Maged our driver. Great to learn about the history of Ben Ezra synagogue, the citadel, old churches and Mohammed Ali mosque. Also great to learn the history of papyrus paper making. Would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour of Coptic and Islamic Cairo

We had a fantastic time with our guide Fadi on this tour from Hesham Egypt tours. Fady explained about every church, mosque and citadel we visited. He came across as quite a knowledgeable person and has a very pleasant and friendly personality.

Insightful, safe, and seamless — the perfect way to experience Old Cairo as a solo traveller.

I had an excellent experience on the 4-hours private tour of Islamic Mosque, Coptic Cairo & Khan el-Khalili — as a solo woman traveller I felt completely safe throughout the day, and the guide was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind, bringing the history and culture of Old Cairo to life with engaging insights. Our driver navigated Cairo’s busy streets with confidence and made the journey smooth and stress-free, which I really appreciated given the city’s traffic. The private nature of the tour meant the pace was comfortable, and I never felt rushed at any site. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Cairo’s religious and cultural highlights in a well-organised, enjoyable way.
