As the largest museum dedicated to a single civilization, GEM offers a fascinating journey through 5,000 years of Egyptian history. Explore the expansive exhibition halls at your own pace, guided by your private English-speaking guide, and admire over 100,000 artifacts, including the complete treasures of Tutankhamun. The museum’s modern design combines contemporary architecture with ancient motifs, providing a stunning setting to appreciate Egypt’s cultural legacy.

  2. The Great Pyramid of Khufu
    1 hour

Embark on an unforgettable journey to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest and oldest of the Giza Pyramids and the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. Standing at an original height of 146 meters, this architectural marvel was constructed over 4,500 years ago as a grand tomb for Pharaoh Khufu. During your tour, you'll explore the intricate design of this ancient masterpiece, from its massive limestone blocks to the internal passageways that reveal its extraordinary engineering. Learn fascinating stories about its construction, purpose, and the mysteries that continue to intrigue historians and archaeologists today.

  3. Pyramid Complex of Khafre
    30 minutes

Discover the fascinating Pyramid of Khafre, the second-largest of the Giza Pyramids and a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture. Built over 4,500 years ago for Pharaoh Khafre, this pyramid is distinguished by its unique design and the remnants of its original smooth casing stones at the summit. Standing at 136 meters, it appears taller than the Great Pyramid due to its higher base on the Giza Plateau. Your tour will delve into the history of its construction, the advanced techniques used, and its connection to the Great Sphinx, which is believed to bear Khafre’s likeness. A visit to this iconic site offers a deeper understanding of ancient Egypt's grandeur and ingenuity.

  4. Pyramid of Menkaure
    30 minutes

Explore the Pyramid of Menkaure, the smallest yet most charming of the three main Giza Pyramids. Built over 4,500 years ago for Pharaoh Menkaure, this pyramid stands at 65 meters and is renowned for its intricate construction using granite and limestone. Despite its smaller size, it showcases exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail, reflecting the significance of the pharaoh it was built for. Your tour will reveal the pyramid’s fascinating history, its unique architectural features, and its role within the larger Giza complex. Gain insights into the legacy of Menkaure and the enduring mysteries surrounding this ancient wonder.

  5. Panoramic View of the Pyramids
    30 minutes

Experience the breathtaking panoramic view of the Pyramids, where the majestic trio of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure stands proudly against the desert backdrop. This vantage point offers a perfect opportunity to admire the grandeur of these ancient wonders together, capturing the essence of the Giza Plateau in its entirety. The panoramic spot is ideal for photography, providing a stunning perspective of the pyramids aligned in harmony with the vast surrounding landscape. As you take in the view, your guide will share fascinating stories and historical insights, making this moment an unforgettable highlight of your visit to Egypt.

  6. Great Sphinx
    30 minutes

The Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of King Khafre are two of Egypt’s most iconic and mysterious landmarks. The Sphinx, with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh, is believed to represent King Khafre himself, standing guard over the Giza Plateau. It is one of the largest and oldest statues in the world, measuring 73 meters in length and 20 meters in height. Nearby, the Valley Temple of Khafre, a stunning example of ancient Egyptian architecture, was once used for royal funerary rituals. Its massive limestone blocks and well-preserved statues provide a glimpse into the grandeur of the Old Kingdom. Together, these sites offer a fascinating insight into Egypt’s ancient religious and architectural legacy.

Awesome Trip to the Pyramids

Michael was absolutely awesome - a great mix of historical knowledge and culture. He made the experience fantastic. His studies as an Egyptologist made all the difference as well as his relationship with the locals made us feel welcome and safe. Thank you Michael

Good fun and exceptional knowledge

I had a great day with Haitham (guide) & Mohammed (driver) as we explored all the sights and more during the day. Haitham is a local to Giza, and knows his history well. Always making sure I was well looked after, we stopped a number of times throughout the day for a coffee or tea; and Mohammed always had cold water on hand in the car! All of the sights were very busy, but we were able to skip queues and get some excellent vantage points for photos (Haitham knows a lot of people and we always managed to get priority en route). Thoroughly excellent trip from hotel pick up through to the end of the day. Highly recommend this dynamic duo!

Best day in Egypt on 7th trip

Could possibly be the best trip I've been on in egypt, several reason. First the booking and the commination before the trip was first class. Having all the information before the trip was perfect. The day it's self was outstanding mainly because of the guide, Alaa, she not only was very knowledgeable but was able to say everything in a very easy way to understand, lots of guides tells us info but without making it understandable Alaa was able to give me all the information in a claim voice her English was good and I was able to understand everything she said, she was also friendly and understood I was much older and made the walking at a pace I was comfortable with, showing a understanding for her customer which doesn't often happen. In 7hrs I understood more than I had ever done of Egypy. I would very much like to thank Alaa she made 7hrs very interesting and I'm 75yrs old so doing a trip that long and being happy at the end was brilliant. I must add I found the travel agents who organised the day Travel Doors Tours were also very good, any questions I had before the day they were very quick to reply with clear answers, so I would also thank them for one of the best days in Egypt I've ever had on my 7th trip to this wonderful country and when I return I will be contacting this company to organise my trips. Thank everyone for my trip

Absolutely the best!

This was an amazing experience for our family. Our tour guide was Dina and she was phenomenal. She was very knowledgable about the Egyptian history. She made it fun as well so our kids enjoyed it and are still talking about her. This is a must do activity in Cairo. We did the pyramids, syphnx, camel rides, grand museum, and lunch. She also took us to a place where they process the papyrus plant into paper and where they make essences for aroma therapy and perfumes.

Amazing last minute trip

100% recommended. Abdelrahman -our guide, was super helpful, knowledgeable. Organization, planning, consideration of having the little baby with us - all was there. Also extra perks that were not included in advance- visiting special aroma and papirus stores. Also car was very clean and comfortable. The driver was also very good. This company is very flexible, they managed to accommodate us although we have requested the tour in the middle of the night.

Enorm

It really is a huge museum with a lot of rock. You'll spend at least three hours looking at everything. However, the staff is not very friendly. Online it says that the price is 550 for tourists but this is 1200 egp per person at the box office..... you can also only pay with visa no cash. You can also shop or have lunch in one of the shops that are present in the building.
