Mahmoud is the best!
Mahmoud Mahran with Emo made sure my husband and I had an unforgettable time in Cairo. We booked a return transfer to the Red Sea and were lucky enough to get Mahmoud as our driver. He went out of his way to show us unique and unforgettable sites and made the 6 hour trip fly by.
We booked Mahmoud again for a tour of downtown Cairo. Exploring Cairo with Mahmoud was so much better than exploring on our own. We felt we had a best friend to show us all the local spots. I highly recommend Mahmoud to anyone traveling to Egypt and look forward to coming back soon!

Great Tour & Great Guide!
Things started a little rocky because there wasn’t good communication from the tour company on the pick up time. BUT, Hadeer more than made up for the company’s error. I needed to customize this tour to meet the needs of some elders in my group. Hadeer was super flexible and made sure that we did exactly what we wanted to do. Yusuf was our driver and he was so nice! I asked him for assistance several times when communicating with locals and he was so gracious.
When it came to learning about Egypt, Hadeer was amazing. She knows A LOT! She started the tour explaining the history of Egypt and how that relates to the places that we were going to visit. I learned so much in a short period of time!
If you want to learn about Egypt and have a great time doing it - Hadeer is your person!

As our guide used to say, "Junk Junk Junk!!!"
I have rated this trip low for a couple of reasons.
The guide and driver were punctual and on time. The guide was the same one we took for the the Giza pyramids Tour. However, the quality of the tour was different on both the days.
The tour when booked claims to be an 8 hour tour. However, it was concluded in 4 hours. That is misleading.
The guide and the Driver, in order to speed up the tour for their convenience took us to the Khan-Al-Khalili market at 8am in the morning and when the entire market was still closed although it was scheduled for later in the day according to the itinerary. He claimed that this is a useless market filled with junk when it opens up and there was nothing interesting about it. We should've been the judge of that and not the guide, we hardly spent any time there.
The tour guide took us around the museum promptly and explained pretty well. However he was always in a hurry. There were guides from other agencies who were calm and took time to explain to their customers. Our guide decided what was important and what not and finished our tour of such a huge museum in 1 hour. Post that he gave us some time to look around and asked us to tell exactly when we would be finished. He seemed to be in a hurry through out the tour.
We started at 8 am and we're done by 12:30pm-1:00pm.

Great private tour of Egyptian museum, citadel and bazar!
Very well organised private tour. We discovered the highlights of downtown Cairo and learnt about Egyptian history. A special thanks to our guide Soad!

Bizarre experience
After we had a bad day on Sunday, I decided to specifically ask another agency for a female guide. the day was very nice and Souad was very competent in the historical explanations which gave me relief and confidence in the guide.
At Khan el kalili Souad left us behind and did not show any stores when i asked to take us to fixed price ones that i researched on the internet. I specifically asked for a store for cartouche. Souad said she could recommend a factory with Good price.
1. said silver one was 30 usd and gave me the photos to choose from
2. asked me not to speak in front of the driver, because the tour operator is oblied to take us to specific stores where they earn commission
3. my mother was interested in gold model and she said she would negotiate for us.
4. asked 350 usd for the gold model
5. Said the man she knew would deliver it to us to the hotel at night and asked us not to talk to him. just with her. Só i don t have name or contact
6. the man came to the hotel and gave it to us. the gold one looked like a sheet of paper with no gold stamp.
7. Of course They did not returned Our money. Souad Said She is Sorry and is not going to treat with him anymore.
What happens is that we feel like idiots. sad. after you create an emotional link here it seems that people are going to financially abuse you. unfortunately the last point of the trip was the feeling of not returning to Egypt. and to recommend that those who come do not buy. do not negotiate. very sad. you believe that agencies will provide you with great guides and that you can trust them. Be careful.

A busy informative day out
Ahmed and his driver, Wahid, were very good and made us feel welcome. Ahmed was extremely well informed and knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information.
A lot was fitted in and at times that made for a rush of activity. A couple of the visits to shops were unwanted and really irrelevant and we would have preferred more time in the museum! The shop visits are only a source of pressure to buy!!

Sights were great, but guide was lacking
A tour guide can often make or break an experience. Our guide was pretty distant, and hands-off. I felt that he could have given much more information about Cairo, and the trip to Khan Khalili basically consisted of a trip to his friend’s shop. He did do a good job at the Cairo Museum. All in all, though, I felt a little short-changed.
