Excellent opportunity to see Luxor for a day

We completed the private tour with our excellent tour guide, Remon. This tour was a great opportunity to escape the business of Cairo for a day, and see the bulk of Egypt's ancient history. Remon, our tour guide, was excellent. He had a great balance of allowing our group to explore the sites independently and also talking to us to give background information. I highly recommend this opportunity.

A unique cultural immersion

Our wonderful and friendly driver Hany (please forgive spelling) was very speedy in picking us up between sites and had an impeccably clean car. Remon, our tour guide, was an Egyptian history expert. I learned so much and acquired accurate facts that were not covered during my primary and secondary education! He also provided cultural immersion that we otherwise would not have had the opportunity. For instance, we visited a shop where a family, descendent from an Egyptian excavator who worked closely with Howard Carter, provided a demonstration on how authentic alabaster objects and souvenirs are made. We also visited a shop where women made hand woven scarves and other items. We went to Banana Island via a private boat and had a lovely lunch which allowed us to learn more about Nubian culture. As a Black woman, this was quite meaningful since we did not have enough time to travel to Aswan. Remon was very thoughtful and personalized our tour based upon interests and values. He is one of the best tour guides and that’s coming from someone who has used viator in 7 countries. I highly recommend Remon as your tour guide!

Unforgettable

Remon was the best. We saw so many things from ancient sites to local culture all in one day. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area, history, how to safely travel, and what the communication customs were. Highly recommend and would do this again in a heartbeat!

Amazing!

This trip is an absolute must! If you’re looking to get the most out of Luxor in 1 day then this is it. Remon is an extremely knowledgable and professional guide and added so much interesting information about the sites that would’ve been missed otherwise. From the historical sites to the shops and the lunch selection, everything was fantastic and very well organized and timely. I can’t say enough good things, but I’m so glad we booked it, definitely a trip to remember! Highly recommend!

Day trip Cairo to Luxor

We had the best time visiting the sites around Luxor! Dina our guide made the day exceptionally special! She provided a wonderful historical overview of each site (just the right amount of ancient and contemporary history) and made sure all of our interests were covered. She’s kind, upbeat, and knows everything! We enjoyed the added lunch with boat ride. Cannot say enough good things about Dina and our trip!

I was only in Egypt for...

I was only in Egypt for four nights and am so glad I decided to add this whirlwind tour onto my itinerary. Luxor was a welcome change from the bustle of Cairo, and it would have been a shame to miss all that it has to offer. Despite traveling solo, I agreed to share the tour with two other people on my same flight. It was actually nice to have the company as we tried to keep up with our high-paced, energetic tour guide, Maret! We packed so much into the day and found Maret's insights and knowledge of the sites and culture invaluable. We ended up choosing to take a boat ride to banana island for a delicious meal for an extra $25 per person. While I am glad that we chose this option, it seems like something that should have been included in the price of the tour. Also, I found out that the other couple with me each paid $205 less than I did for the tour, which is a bit annoying!

A must see in Egypt

I could not have asked for a better trip in Luxor. The company and Dina, my tour guide took care of everything. I was driven around privately to the best spots in Luxor and Dina was there to make sure everything ran smoothly and she was great with answering all my questions about whatever interested me in the sites. I would definitely recommend her to anyone I know who would visit Egypt. Thanks for a wonderful day Dina.

Great tour of Luxor’s Top Sights!

Dina was a fantastic tour guide. She was knowledgeable, was fluent in English, and showed us a great time. Our driver was great too. If you only have a day in Luxor, we highly recommend this tour. Private van, you get a whole day of activities, and the option to upgrade your lunch with a ride on the Nile to an off-the-beaten path restaurant with great local cuisine. If you book from Cairo I recommend booking your own plane tickets, the tour operator arranged for our transfer to and from the airport in Cairo, where we were staying, and we paid a lot less than you’d pay if you book the tour option with flights included. The whole tour was well worth the price!

Worry-free VIP tour, absolutely worthwhile to travel with them!

Michael, the tour guide and George the driver are an absolute gem! They made the entire trip enjoyable, informative, relaxing and worry-free. From the get go, the pickup and communication is smooth, and Michael is very upfront with the plans - the itinerary, the duration, distance and time of travel, and gives you room to prep yourself of what’s to come. The most commendable part is, he knows what are the timing of the tourist crowd and he plans accordingly to give you the best comfort (example : visit to the outdoor Queen Hatshepsut temple early in the morning, when the crow picks up, we visited valley of the kings because it’s warmer and we’re underground viewing the tombs anyways. And then Luxor temple when the guests has left back for their day tour from their cruise). I got the best timing with the least crowd! And he suggested to upgrade to a nicer lunch, took a nice boat ride too which was worth every penny. We finished rather early and he also suggested a number of other places to visit. Not to mention the driver was also very prompt in the pickup between locations, car was quite the VIP one =) all in all it’s definitely a recommend, and for those who are looking for a worry-free trip, just go for Michael!
