Very happy.
Our guide Khaled al saadi was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I didn't understand much because I'm not good at English, but he seemed satisfied watching other people's reactions. He also learned my face quickly, so I enjoyed it without worrying about being left behind. Thank you, Khaled!

The Truth
King Mino was excellent. The trip was packed with excursion after excursion. The only thing I might do differently as the vendor, is be more clear about it being more of an intensive study of Egyptology, make it more clear that the boat cruise is not the focus, and have a more detailed and focussed explanation of how add on. Fees and what at many times felt like expected tipping and purchasing novelty items at the venues. That was particularly tiring; knowing, when done with an event, on the way out, you’d have to run the gauntlet of multiple people, begging to sell you something one did not want, or need.
We had a great crew and a great guide though and that made that part of the experience less memorable than it may have been. We had a mixture of all ages and socioeconomic status, so the conversations outside of the tours were stimulating too!
My personal advisory is simply more focussed on the environment outside of the tour group, and the actual mechanics of the tour and schedule because if those elements were revisited a bit, with a little more disclosure in a clear summary, prior to embarking, I would have felt more prepared through the process.
The value, the sites, and the professional approach to the management of putting something like this together though, really does make up for the small smattering of places where things weren’t exceptional.
Oh! Lastly! Dated, yet clean boat with fantastic customer service. Be ready to pay at the bar though… ( regular western pricing, until happy hour on the 2nd day ) We took advantage of that! But someone who packs well should figure out how to manage their drink cost… subtlety.

The Tours are Great!
The tours are the highlights of this cruise. They require ridiculously early morning starts but are worth it to avoid the mid-day heat which can be 40+oC in May. Our tour guide Mina was great. He organised all the tours so smoothly from getting the tickets, arranging all transportation to the sites and keeping us fully informed every step of the way. With his history qualification, his talks at the sites were accurate, and fun. He was also caring and looked after the welfare of our group of 25 which ranged from a baby and teenagers to pensioners.
Our ship the Nile Jewel is not 5* but the cabins are good and I think every room had a view out. The super clean shower cubicle is small and might be a challenge to anyone of very big build. There was a large choice of buffet food which was of a good standard considering they are trying to cater for an international clientele. The dining staff were very attentive. Our entertainment of a belly dancer and a Sufi whirler was great fun.
A tip of $10 per day was collected at the beginning to be distributed to front staff, behind the scene staff and all transportation drivers.

Aswan to Luxor on the Jewel of the Nile
We just retired and wanted to do Egypt. we were after a boot trip from Aswan to Luxor. AI advised us to book via reputable agency and this is how we got into this trip. The boat was great friendly staff. what made the tour was the guide who orchestrated the agenda for over 25 of us. King Mina was Royal in every detail. Would book again when Mins finishes his PhD as he may have yet more stories about his ancestors

Nilo cruiser
If you are looking for a guide who will truly bring Egypt to life, look no further than Khalid. We had the absolute pleasure of spending several days with him on a Nile cruise, visiting some of Egypt’s most breathtaking temples, and it was hands down the highlight of our entire trip.
From the moment we stepped aboard, Khaled Al saad warm personality and infectious enthusiasm set the tone for an extraordinary adventure. His knowledge of Egyptian history, mythology, and archaeology is simply remarkable. Whether we were exploring the grand columns of Karnak Temple, standing in awe inside Abu Simbel, or marveling at the carvings of Edfu and Kom Ombo, Khalid had a story, a detail, or a hidden gem to share at every single stop. He has a rare gift for making ancient history feel immediate and alive. And I been buy to many experience with aviator and all was really good….
