Great experience!

Was such a nice trip that exceeded my expectations. Khalid was very professional and helpful and he did everything to give us a good time. The ship was clean, well maintained and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. I would recommend this trip if you want to make the most of your time.

Great value for money. Great experience if you want to visit many temples in only 4 days

The guide Khaled Alsaadi and the visits to the temples were amazing The crew in the boat super friendly, helpful and always with a big smile. The view from the boat was great

Good experience with some minor irritants

We booked a cruise with Go Tours Egypt online, and were assigned the boat named "King of Egypt". The boat was nice and clean, though not as luxurious as some of the other boats we saw there. Our cabin was smaller than we expected (it was a triple room, so had to fit three beds in the same space), but was well maintained. The owner of the tour agency, Mr. Mohamed, was super helpful. Even before we embarked on the cruise, he would promptly reply to all the queries we emailed to them. Our assigned guide, Mr. Talaat Abdo, was friendly and very knowledgeable. He could communicate in reasonably good English, and would give us lot of information and stories related to the places we visited. He ensured that we started on time everyday, and would not rush us, he would give us enough time to explore the places by ourselves. However, beyond his actual work, he would sometimes not be very cooperative. On couple of occasions, when we needed assistance, he would simply shrug and say he cannot help us! We had to keep getting back to Mr. Mohamed to solve the problems (which he did every time). Two sore points that I would like to mention: 1. The food: Our package had all meals included - breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had specifically asked for vegetarian food, as we do not eat any type of meat. We were assured that all meals will have vegetarian options. While that was not incorrect, the vegetarian "options" usually consisted only of boiled vegetables of different kinds (boiled potatoes, boiled carrots, etc.). There was veg soup on offer, though mostly bland. We had to make do with eating bread and plain rice for all meals. 2. The tips: Throughout our trip to Egypt, we hardly came across anyone asking for tips (despite reading online that tipping culture is all pervasive). It was only on this cruise that we were practically forced to shell out a substantial tip (22 USD per person), that too at the beginning of the cruise! Shouldn't the decision of whether and how much to tip depend on the quality of service received? And at the end of trip we were told that the tip we had given did not include one for our guide, Mr. Talaat. We had to give him a separate tip (in a sealed envelop in "his hands"). Having said that, I must point out that the staff of the cruise (especially in the restaurant) was very friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this cruise to others.

Excellent guidance through the main tourist sites, a great experience in a shorter trip.

Dr. Kaled was an excellent guide. He spoke to us with knowledge and a passion that was contagious during each tour. He kept us organized, safe and was always honest with pricing and travelling advice. The tour was jammed pack with touring which meant early mornings and constant action so prepare for action every step of the way. For a shorter trip it was a great way to fit key sites and Dr. Kaled kept his explanations short, sweet and very interesting.

Review March 2025

This is not a cruise. We only sailed one day. The title is misleading The first two days we stayed in Aswan, we sailed the third and the fourth we were in Luxor. The tour guides were bored to tell us things. They were very quick to finish the tour and barely scratched the surface. I listened to other guides from nearby groups that said very interesting things that our guides never said. Also, we visited Abu Simbel without a guide!! The food on board was very European. Personally, I would prefer to have the option to try Egyptian food as well. Overall, go for this cruise if you are not interested in learning more about the history of Egypt but just get a general idea. Also, if you want to do some activities and just get an idea of how it is to do a cruise.

My long-awaited trip to Egypt! And the best memories!

Talaat Ando I received a very kind and easy-to-understand explanation throughout the tour. Thanks to that, even though I was unfamiliar with Egypt, I was able to enjoy the tour comfortably. I was able to visit a number of ancient ruins that would be impossible to see on my own!

Worth it!

Our guide Abanoub was really experienced and had a really good knowledge about the sight scenes that we visit. The food in the cruise was tasteful, with a lot of different options. The only negative is that they changed the program as we have booked it, we start the third day the cruise, so we had to compress a lot of activities in one day, which was exhausting..

Comfortable 4-Day Boat Trip

It was nice to be able to travel around various sightseeing spots without moving my luggage because I could stay in the same boat for four days. Service on the boat was also good because we could enjoy a wide selection of drinks at an affordable price. Not a good point ・The visit to the Temple of Absimbel on the second day was too early in the morning → I became very sick. The guide gave me medicine and cared for me in various ways, so that was good.

Tour agent is terrible.

The cruise is not luxurious, but just average. However, the tour program was very unsatisfactory. The guide changes every time, and the tour is mixed with different tour guests. Other passengers on the same cruise are guided by the same guide every time, or at least with the passengers on the same ship. I had to check if the guide came properly every time, and he usually came later than the others. Once, the guide did not come, so I went on the tour without a guide. On the last tour, they asked for an additional fee other than a tip in the middle of the tour. I had to go on the tour feeling like an uninvited guest because I was mixed with other groups that were not on the same cruise. The price is not cheap compared to other products. If you are looking for a similar product at a similar price, NEVER do this product.
