Great experience and great guide!

I highly recommend this tour, the boat is super nice but the best thing about it was our guide Talaat! It was super well organized and he took care of everyone in the group. He knows everything about the temples and the explanations were amazing but also has some tricks to catch less people in places and make things super efficient. He became a friend more than a tour guide!

I totally recommend

- The guide was well-prepared and genuinely cared about our experience, ensuring that everyone was satisfied, we truly appreciated that. - We visited most of the important temples on the Nile, I liked that we were given time to visit those temples alone, without a group. - The boat was a bit old, but everything was in good working conditions. - The food was decent and slightly varied(nothing extraordinary, which is fair considering the price) In conclusion, despite small imperfections, it was absolutely worth and I don't regret choosing this tour.

Super experience!

The ship has been a very good experience: small and family friendly, delicious food, comfortable cabins...what more can you ask for? Our Talaat guide has been another decisive factor in making our experience so enjoyable! Thank you very much to the staff of the Nile Commodoro and especially to our great guide!

First time cruise- wasn't disappointed

Wasn't sure what to expect initially, but ended up having a really great time on our first ever cruise. Our tour guide, Talaat, knows the land and the sites through and through. He's also good for a laugh and doesn't act like a bland, knowledgable narrator; he has character. He was funny and great at communicating our schedules etc. We really enjoyed him! For a more affordable cruise, the boat was quite nice, but fast paced. Nice rooms (they even have a bath). The blackout curtains in the rooms are amazing, btw (I know you all feel me on the what a treat this is). The buffet meals offered were tasty and offered a lot of variety. The desserts aren't of michelin standard but apparently Gordon Ramsay hasnt been available to work onboard this cruise. Also, you can ask any of the chefs at the buffet about what you can and can't eat if you have any food intolerances. The early morning wake-ups weren't my fav thing in the world, but they ended up being worth it. Try taking your time to have fun with guessing unique hieroglyphics as well. Like all other Egyptian reviews mention, please make sure you have TIPPING money on you at ALL times and make sure you know to BUY YOUR OWN DRINKS (water etc) OFF the boat as they aren’t included and are cheaper elsewhere. Putting caps for emphasise to really drive the point home for skim readers You'll stop at additional spots that provide essential oils, spices etc that AREN'T listed in your schedules, so please be aware. Overall we had a great time and I think this cruise is worth it. You can tick off a bunch of spots in a short, organised period of time. The ship, the ships crew, our tour group and Talaat created an unforgettable experience.

Jam packed archeological adventure!

Incredible experience cruising the Nile. Loved seeing so many temples and tombs without the stress of having to plan a thing. Talaat was very knowledgeable about the long history of Egypt and made it super easy for us to visit each site. The cruise itself was excellent. Can’t beat relaxing on a sundeck surrounded by the natural beauty of the Nile. Just note there are so many stops you won’t get a lot of down time, but it’s worth it to see all the sites. The photos of these temples don’t do them justice, you have to see their scale in real life to really appreciate them. My personal favourites stops: Hypostyle Hall, Valley of the Kings and the optional extra Nubian village. Just note as this is Egypt there will be a few extra costs like tipping, paying for attractions and a few optional extra activities. However this was all clear before booking so nothing unexpected.

Overall decent minus a few cons

Fast paced, very nice boat and 9 nice buffets. Tour guide Talaat was a good guide, knowledgeable, good English, and flexible to everyone in the groups needs. Pros: - Organizes otherwise difficult and expensive sites to visit. - Talaat our guide. - Nice boat, comfortable beds, and good food. Cons: - 3 stops at Spice, perfume and Alabaster stores not advertised, guide kick back I assume. - Pricey, with tickets and beverages not included. - 4am wakeup for abu simbel and 6am the second day.
