As per requested time will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and drive to the south of Aswan which is around 3hrs drive to enjoy Abu Simbel day tour from Aswan by air-conditioned vehicle. The two Temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt. They reflect the glory and grandeur of the new Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to co-operate in order to save these temples from the flood. The Temple of Ramses II was dedicated to the four universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and to Ramesses II himself. The great Abu Simbel temple is also called The Sun Temple of Ramses II.The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also Called Temple of Hathor who was the wife of the Sun God so in a symbolic way, the two Temples, that of Ramesses II and that of Nefertari, bring Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor and the Sun God together as one. Spend around 3 hours there then take the way back to Aswan.

All is good, but driver can be late
Driver was one hour late for the appointment. Which is quite critical given the early morning nature of departure Nevertheless, driver was nice and the car was good. We were also provided with water and some snacks.

Parfait
Parfaite excursion pour Abu Simbel depuis Assouan avec chauffeur et guide. Le chauffeur a très bien conduit, il était très calme et poli malgré les 6h de route. Le guide nous a parfaitement expliqué, a répondu à toutes nos questions. Il n’a pas simplement appris un texte, il sait vraiment de quoi il parle. Il nous a aussi laissé le temps de prendre des photos sans nous presser. C’était une expérience parfaite grâce à eux! Je recommande vivement.

Simple and efficient road trip
The trip comprised what we wanted: only to be driven back and forth to Abu Simbel. The drivers showed up in time (8 am), they were respectful and there was space in the van.

The best trip and Sam the best tour guide
The tour was amazing, Sam was an excellent tour guide, sharing interesting stories and his knowledge about all. He made our trip to Abu Simbel really enjoyable and fun. He also arranged everything for a last minute private tour to Edfu and Kom Ombo.

Parfait !
Nous avons adorés les lieux de visite bien évidemment, ainsi que le service de taxi, réalisé par Ahmed, que nous avons croisé le lendemain à 5h du matin à 300 km de là par pur hasard. Mais le meilleur dans tout ça, c'était le guide touristique, Mahmoud. En plus d'être sympathique, on sent la passion pour l'histoire dans sa manière d'expliquer les choses. On a énormément appris avec lui, toujours prêt à répondre aux questions et a vouloir aller "plus loin" dans l'explication. C'était vraiment parfait.
