As per requested time will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and drive to the south of Aswan which is around 3hrs drive to enjoy Abu Simbel day tour from Aswan by air-conditioned vehicle. The two Temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt. They reflect the glory and grandeur of the new Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to co-operate in order to save these temples from the flood. The Temple of Ramses II was dedicated to the four universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and to Ramesses II himself. The great Abu Simbel temple is also called The Sun Temple of Ramses II.The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also Called Temple of Hathor who was the wife of the Sun God so in a symbolic way, the two Temples, that of Ramesses II and that of Nefertari, bring Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor and the Sun God together as one. Spend around 3 hours there then take the way back to Aswan.

Private car and driver is all you need

Abu Simbel is definitely worth the visit and even the long drive. To our experience, including a guide is not worth it. Guides are not allowed inside the temples, so they maybe tell you a bit about the temple on the way there or once you're in front of it. I would suggest getting a local sim card and opening Wikipedia , taking screenshots, and reading them once you're there. Also, not all guides speak english that well and might not understand much of your questions. Oh and don't start too early because other tours normally start at 4am, starting around 8am is perfect so there'll be much fewer tourists. And you're welcome 😌

I finally saw Abu Simbel and more

I have wanted to visit Abu Simbel since I first put Egypt on my bucket list and I was able to finally see it with my new friend and guide Emad Aiad. I staggered the flight to Aswan and the tour departure time to accommodate any possible flight delays only to have my flight depart early. Even though I had a 9:30 tour depart time Emad and our driver were at the airport, ready to go so no delays. On the way there he shared information on all things Egyptian not just the temple. Wealth of information. Since we started early we had plenty of time to add Philae Temple tour which I wanted to see but did not feel we would have time. His monitoring my flight and picking me up once we landed enabled this. If you know this is the Aswan tour for you book it early and ask for Emad. If he is available you just got lucky. Thanks

Exactly as expected

Exactly as expected: picked up from hotel in Aswan in a comfortable car (SUV/crossover). Stopped on the way for a toilet and to buy a coffee or snacks -- the snacks were like chocolate bars, not meals (had the option to stop on the way back too; we skipped). Abu Simbel was was great, and then had lunch (we paid for the option) in the car on the way back. Lunch was very good for take out food, and eating in the car saved time (I'm sure we could have asked to eat at a table somewhere, but we preferred this). Tour guide showed us what to look for in the temples before we got there and answered all our questions.

Excellent Driver

The driver was nice and the car was clean. He was actually a very safe driver and he pointed out things along the way. (We didn't have a tour guide for the temple).

Excelente tour de un día a Abu Simbel desde Aswan

Excelente chófer y guía. El manejo responsable en el largo trayecto entre Aswan y Abu Simbel. Respetó en todo momento la velocidad, el adelantamiento en carretera y tomó un breve descanso en la mitad del viaje. El guía, hablaba bien el español, y comentó los aspectos más importantes del Templo de Abu Simbel y de Hathor. En todo momento ambos integrantes fueron muy amables y cordiales en el trato, haciendo que la experiencia fuera sumamente grata. Muy recomendable.

A sister’s adventure

My sister and I were recently on a Nile cruise with Viking and the Viking organized trip to Abu Simbel was full so I looked on Tripadvisor to find a similar excursion. We could not have been happier with our guide and driver who were both named Mohammed. Our guide explained everything we passed on our drive to Abu Simbel an told us all about the temple and its’ removal and reconstruction. We were more than pleased with our experience and would recommend Emo tours without reservation.

Amazing tour. Our guide...

Amazing tour. Our guide Samir Gaber and drivers Ahmed and Ahmed were excellent. They took great care of us and made us feel so welcomed. Our guide Samir was very knowledgeable. He gave us his hand drawn, customized map of the two temples and used photos as visual aids which made this experience even better. Later after the trip he met us on train station to make sure we got on the right train. Mr Samir went above and beyond. Thank you for everything and making our trip one to remember. I highly recommend this trip and Mr Samir!

Memorable day with Ahmed at Abu Simbel

Ahmed Eid, our tour guide was amazing on our day trip to Abu Simbel. Very knowledgeable on ancient egyptian history and explained everything very well. He communicated clearly in very good English. We really enjoyed our trip to and back. Ahmed was friendly and considerate alongside the drivers, giving us rest breaks during the journey, plenty of time to take photos at Abu Simbel and an hour to ourselves to take in the beautiful history and explore the temples. Overall, we had a fun road trip and really enjoyed the whole Abu Simbel experience. Highly recommend Ahmed Eid as your tour guide for Abu Simbel!!
