    Full day

As per requested time will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and drive to the south of Aswan which is around 3hrs drive to enjoy Abu Simbel day tour from Aswan by air-conditioned vehicle. The two Temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt. They reflect the glory and grandeur of the new Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to co-operate in order to save these temples from the flood. The Temple of Ramses II was dedicated to the four universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and to Ramesses II himself. The great Abu Simbel temple is also called The Sun Temple of Ramses II.The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also Called Temple of Hathor who was the wife of the Sun God so in a symbolic way, the two Temples, that of Ramesses II and that of Nefertari, bring Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor and the Sun God together as one. Guide for 15’ and useless/irrelevant

We took this tour about 3 weeks ago starting from Nubian Village in Aswan to Abu Simbel and then we also added transportation to Luxor. We had a big and comfy car and even though our driver Habou wasn’t talking any English, left us with a very good impression since he was very kind and friendly, was driving safely and generally was discreet and professional. Abu Simbel is generally a marvelous place and totally worth a visit but our tour guide was just a waste of money and time. He only spend 15’ with us when he escorted us from the entrance to the location of the temple and gave us a 2’ long brief about the place which we could have easily read in Wikipedia. He tried to make silly jokes and was rushing us through the area without considering we might want to walk around the location or take photos in any place outside the temple. His english were quite weak and disturbing and didn’t seem like an actual professional guide but more like someone who randomly memorized 3 things about the monument and was saying it to us. I would only suggest transportation from this agency.

Abu Simbel is amazing but don’t bother with guide

Abu Simbel is a must do if you’re in Aswan. Do not bother with a guide though - they’re not allowed inside the temples so our guide gave us a 5 minute overview outside before we went in and otherwise slept the majority of the journey. We also asked him a question which he said that “no one knows” but we later saw the answer on an information plaque at the site. If you’re willing to do a bit of reading beforehand you’ll be just as informed.

Quick, fast, complete tour of the temples.

Starting at 4:30, our guide (Sunil) and driver picked us up in a modern comfortable car and drove us to Abu Simbel. Our driver, a contender to Max Verstappen for fastest driver on the planet got us there just as the gates were opening and the overnight visitors to the park were finishing up and leaving. This left us with a lull in the crowds that worked out perfect. During the drive, our guide had prepped us for the temples. He went through a detailed map of the temples, showed us photos of some of what we would see and covered the myths to make them interesting and memorable. Guides are not allowed to enter the temples with us. This was a good thing. More time for looking, photos, and appreciating the grand place. Our guide also accommodated our tight schedule by making sure we could see it all without wasting any time. He dropped several options from his planned itinerary and returned us in time for our other commitments. After only 1 hour 20 minutes, we’d see both temples. From there our race driver swiftly returned us in approx 4 hours drive back to Aswan.

Abu simple trip

My tour guide Maryam was very nice and knowledgeable but lunch was horrible. We had a very late lunch in a poor-quality restaurant

Great

Start early. Try and get to the temple before the crowds. It will give you a peaceful few minutes to enjoy these magnificent pieces of history

Day Trip to Abu Simbel

We enjoyed our day trip to Abu Simbel. Our flight was delayed the night before and we got in very late. Our tour started at 7a so we were very tired. Ahmed, our driver, was understanding and we were able to get some sleep on the way and he got us some coffee to jumpstart our day. Samir, our guide, met us in Abu Simbel. Good guide, but it was information overload and I questioned the accuracy of it. We were looking for a chill tour, which we mentioned at the beginning but not observed. Beautiful temples right on the Nile. Lunch was very good. Ahmed was an awesome driver! He was very nice and punctual. We enjoyed him so much we booked him the next day and cancelled our original driver! Would recommend but it’s a long day (approx 8 hours from pick-up to drop off).

A wonderful tour and phenomenal guide

Our guide Russia was phenomenal. She was so knowledgeable not only about the temples we saw, but provided information about the landscape and things we saw on our drive to and from Abu Simbel. We learned so much and had the best time. We would recommend this tour to anyone, and you have to be sure to request Russia.
