What you'll see

  1. Abu Simbel Temple
    Full day

As per requested time will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan and drive to the south of Aswan which is around 3hrs drive to enjoy Abu Simbel day tour from Aswan by air-conditioned vehicle. The two Temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique style, are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt. They reflect the glory and grandeur of the new Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to co-operate in order to save these temples from the flood. The Temple of Ramses II was dedicated to the four universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and to Ramesses II himself. The great Abu Simbel temple is also called The Sun Temple of Ramses II.The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also Called Temple of Hathor who was the wife of the Sun God so in a symbolic way, the two Temples, that of Ramesses II and that of Nefertari, bring Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor and the Sun God together as one. Spend around 3 hours there then take the way back to Aswan.

Relaxed ride

We were picked up on time by the driver. The car was like new and air conditioned. The driver drove carefully and quickly. We left at about 4:30 a.m. and were there before 8 a.m. We had not booked a guide because we wanted to move freely and is also recommended. I can only recommend a private driver, because you are flexible in case you are finished 3 hours ago. The only negative was that we stopped for coffee in the morning after about an hour, which was recommended by the driver. Unfortunately, we were offered an overpriced coffee. The buyer and the driver also knew each other.

Go with someone else

They were 1 hour late picking us up, the guide took more space for themselves leaving us to be crowded, mini van was not comfortable, very little information given on the site & zero guidance, food on the way back inedible & we were expected to eat in the car while driving on bumpy roads. The entire experience was BAD.

Superb! Fun!

Our tour guide gave us a very thorough orientation of Abu Simbel and the temple details especially the reliefs. He even had postcards to show us so we could actually look for these inside the Temples. The ride to and from was smooth and safe by driver Shiko. Makti was awesome and took very good care of our needs. Thanks you Makti and Viator!

An Amazing Full-Day Tour of Egypt’s Ancient Sites

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Egypt . We started with a visit to the iconic Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx , which were even more impressive in person . Memphis , once the capital of ancient Egypt , offered a fascinating look into the country’s early history . The pyramids at Saqqara and Dahshur were equally interesting , each showcasing different architectural styles . We upgraded to include a guide , tickets , and a local lunch , and it was well worth it . Our guide was fantastic , providing rich historical insights at every stop . The lunch was also a great way to experience traditional Egyptian cuisine . This full-day tour is a must-do for anyone visiting Cairo or Giza

A warm guide to the beautiful Abu simbel

Great guide and driver who really went out of their way to get me there as quickly as possible from Aswan. I got a good in depth guide about Abu Simbel during the ride so it was quick to go in and explore right away. The guide was beyond generous and very welcoming

Empfehlenswert

We were picked up from the hotel right on time, and our driver, Shicko, was very friendly and courteous. He really made our trip special. The drive to Abu Simbel was quick yet safe, in a comfortable air-conditioned car, which made the journey pleasant. Upon arrival, we met our guide, Mahmut, who was fantastic—very knowledgeable and kind, sharing lots of interesting information with us. Shicko also recommended a local restaurant for lunch. The food was delicious, but a bit pricey. If you're not too hungry, I would suggest waiting to eat in Aswan, where you can get several meals for the same price. Overall, it was a wonderful trip, and I highly recommend it!

Great driver and experience

We just booked a driver as I read guides aren’t allowed into the temple so didn’t feel the need for one. Our driver, Chico, was excellent - best driver we’ve had in Egypt so far. Really friendly and made sure we were comfortable the entire time, gave us water and snacks. Also pointed out interesting things along the way - 5/5! Abu Simbel speaks for itself

From the most beautiful pharaonic historical sites of Egyptian civilization, the trip to Abu Dhabi Temple is a treat with a lot of Egyptian pharaonic culture and history
