Abu Simbel is incredible! We had a private tour that came with the 3 night Nile Cruise. Driver was very good Driver but drove unsafely until we ask him to be more careful. Guide was good. To be honest I think the cruise could be cheaper. We didn't need a private tour. We would have been happy with a small group for this tour.

Walid was a rockstar again! We ended up doing 2 tours on back to back days because of how awesome he was. The temple was breathtaking and all the information we absorbed was second to none.

The journey from Aswan to Abu Simbel takes about 3 to 3.5 hours, and the same time for the return trip, so you're spending around 6 to 7 hours just driving. We only had 45 minutes to see everything. No cold water was provided, so make sure to bring your own food and water. If you plan to buy anything at Abu Simbel, be prepared to pay 200 for a single drink, which is outrageous. It's worth seeing once in your life, but overall, it's just okay.

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of experiencing ancient Egypt thanks to the extraordinary communication skills of our Esshak Guide who was able to entertain and guide us for two consecutive days through the various temples of Kôm Ombo before and after in the fantastic temple of Abu Simbel where we took beautiful photos! Experience that we will never forget.. Shukran Esshak 🙏

Overall, this was a pretty hot trip, but beautiful. I give it 3 stars because they were late to pick me up from my hotel in Nubia (West Bank) at 4:00am. The rest of the van had to wait for me, and we didn’t leave until closer to 5am. Also, I was told twice that I could not sit in the back last row of the van. This was frustrating because I was in the middle seat. Two of the drivers used this back space to lay down and were not willing to share one of the open seats. It was pretty disrespectful and irritating. We stayed at Abu Simbel for less than 2 hours and headed back to Aswan.
