Bei dieser Wanderung geht es nicht nur um atemberaubende Ausblicke, sondern auch um Geschichte und Spiritualität. Wir beginnen die Übernachtungswanderung auf den Mosesberg, wo es heißt, dass Moses die Zehn Gebote empfangen hat. Pünktlich zum Sonnenaufgang den Gipfel erreichen und von der atemberaubenden Aussicht auf die Sinai Berge staunen. Danach machen wir uns auf den Weg hinunter, um das alte Katharinenkloster aus dem 6. Jahrhundert zu besuchen und die Kapelle des brennenden Busches zu erkunden ⛰ – ein heiliger Ort, der seit über 1.400 Jahren steht. Pass ist erforderlich.

Wir beginnen die Übernachtungswanderung auf den Moses Mountain, die Wanderung zum Gipfel dauert in der Regel 5 bis 6 Stunden pünktlich zum Sonnenaufgang und lassen uns von der beeindruckenden Aussicht auf das Sinaigebirge überraschen.
Wir treffen uns in unserem Hostel "Rafiki hostels", das sich in der Gegend von Tanmeya befindet und leicht auf Google Maps zu finden ist. Vergessen Sie auch nicht, Ihren Pass zum Treffpunkt mitzubringen.

The hike is not challenging and fun to do while chatting with your group or friends. Watching the sunrise and finding all the cool spots to take pictures from is truly magnificent and i totally recommend doing it.

The hike and the experience was amazing. Usually the transport is very complicated on this area, but the guys from Rafiki made it very easy, i just had to put my shoes on and walk. The guide was very good, and the mountains and the views were breathtaking.

I spontaneously joined a group, that went to Mount Sinai the same night ^^ It was organized by the hostel, so I just had to pay a very low price:)) The experience itself was amazing, because I got to know the people from the hostel better, the hike was very easy (could have made it in 2h to the top I guess), but there where many stops, to drink something or rest. We made it to the top and waited until the sun rose. The scenery of that place was wickedly beautiful!!! Can recommend 1000% Thank you Rafiki Fam <3

My visit to St. Catherine with *Rafiki Hostel* was amazing! The hike up Mount Sinai was unforgettable, and the sunrise at the top was breathtaking. The team made everything easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend Rafiki Hostel for this adventure!

I recommend this hike! It is worth it in the end because of the views. At night you can see the stars, I got to see the Milky Way! I will say, the hike is intense, you’re walking on an incline for 4 hours, but the weather isn’t too intense so that helps. You will have a guide with you so you don’t have to worry about going the wrong way.

I highly recommend this tour to literally anyone who's ever in Dahab. I went on this hike thinking it would be tiresome and that I was not fit for it physically, but it actually turned out to be worth the effort! It's more of an uphill walk, so can be done by anyone of any fitness level really. The views were beautiful, even walking through the night as your eyes eventually adjust to the darkness. I joined a group of 12 others staying at Rafiki and we had a great time chatting on the way up to the summit; we even played word games and had the question game going for a while. The conversations were on another level, as we collectively decided to use this hiking time to dive deep into our thoughts on the world, spirituality, the significance of this specific mountain, and more. The guide was professional and we arrived at the top with well enough time to rest, have some snacks, watch the sunrise, and then begin our descend. The monastery is a must for everyone.
