Fabulous food tour
If you want to get into the belly of Cairo and gain some understanding of its history and rich culture and enjoy some amazing local food then look no further Ahmed will be sure to look after you with his warm and friendly company. He is an encyclopaedia of knowledge and made us feel at home . He took us to some amazing local restaurants that have served delicious Egyptian food for generations . Amazing food and even better conversation
The tour felt more like friends catching up over good local food instead of the generic food tour business. All the spots we went to were local places with no English menus. Getting to know the people that owned the shops. Ahmed is an amazing guide and you will definitely enjoy this tour

Fun and Interesting Evening with Amazing Hosts
Ahmed and Sharouk are both wonderful hosts.
We had taken a walk around Old Cairo before meeting the tour group and were running about 10 minutes late. Ahmed was very understanding and reassured us not to rush. We arrived and were greeted warmly.
The tour starts at a local Juice Bar where we sampled local sugar cane juice and fresh hibiscus juice.
They take you on a walk through the Cairo streets stopping at lots of local family run restaurants and food stands. You will get to sample several of Egypt's staple dishes with the couple providing a wealth of information not only about the food but also about Egyptian culture. The dishes were chosen to represent what is eaten locally for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Dessert.
Ahmed is multilingual and was providing translations if some members of our small group were struggling with English.
I highly recommend this fun evening in the lively if chaotic streets of Cairo.

A truly local experience!
Ahmed and his wife are very welcoming and they really inform you about Egypt and its culture. It’s a long (but well worth it) experience and you get your moneys worth with the amount of food tastings and places visited. It’s a must do for anyone in Cairo!

Such a memorable experience
We had such an incredible time with Ahmed and his family. We as 4 girls in our 20s and learned so much about local Egyptian culture and food. We spent time with their two daughters Maria and Karma. Such a beautiful and welcoming family. This was our favorite part of our trip to Egypt.

MUST DO EXPERIENCE !!!!!
Great communication prior to meeting; Ahmed met us on time at the pre-arranged point and the variety of dishes was fantastic! Friendly and engaging conversation all night. He explained all about history and ingredients of the dishes too! Ahmed also ensured we caught our correct Uber at the end of the night. Definitely a must do experience when in Cairo. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Wundervolle Zeit!
Viel Essen für das Geld. Ich war am Ende extra satt. Wundervolle Essensorte. Die Reiseleiter sind sehr leidenschaftlich, was Ägypten angeht, und sehr sachkundig. Das Essen ist köstlich. Man hat wirklich das Gefühl, lokale Orte auszuprobieren und keine touristischen Orte, bekommt aber trotzdem eine großartige Gesamterfahrung. Es ist auch vom Laufen her nicht zu beschwerlich, und man bekommt trotzdem ein gutes Gefühl für die Gegend. Es ist wirklich eine angenehme Erfahrung, die ich sehr empfehle auszuprobieren!

Ahmed war ein fantastischer Reiseleiter! Er war freundlich, sachkundig und gestaltete das gesamte Erlebnis sowohl unterhaltsam als auch lehrreich. Mein Mann und ich hatten eine so tolle Zeit, und ich habe diese Tour tatsächlich als Teil der Geburtstagsfeier meines Mannes gebucht. Da er im Grunde ein Einheimischer geworden war, waren wir uns nicht sicher, wie viel Neues wir lernen würden, aber Ahmed machte das Erlebnis dennoch fesselnd und teilte interessante Geschichte und Fakten, die uns beide erfreuten. Seine Leidenschaft, Professionalität und herzliche Persönlichkeit machten die Tour unvergesslich. Absolut empfehlenswert für JEDEN.
Absolut empfehlenswert für jeden, der Kairo besucht!! Shorouk war eine unglaubliche Reiseführerin und ich habe auch das Gefühl, eine neue Freundin gewonnen zu haben 💕 Wir haben die Tour mit meinem Mann und 3 Kindern (im Alter von 5 - 14 Jahren) sowie meiner Mutter und meinem Stiefvater gemacht, und sie war perfekt für alle Altersgruppen. Wir haben so viel über ägyptisches Essen gelernt (wir konnten sogar zusehen, wie vieles davon von Grund auf neu zubereitet wurde!), aber wir haben auch noch mehr über die ägyptische Kultur und Lebensweise erfahren. Das Essen war köstlich! Meine Mutter hatte Sorge, dass ihr nichts gefallen würde, und am Ende hat ihr ALLES gefallen. Ich kann diese Tour und diese wundervolle Familie nicht genug empfehlen ♥️
