Unser Fahrer, Gerges, war auch sehr gut darin, uns herumzubekommen. Es war eine fantastische Erfahrung dank ihnen. Ich empfehle sie sehr. Jean war großartig! Er ist sehr sachkundig und war sehr informativ. Er gab uns viel Geschichte über Ägypten auf der Autofahrt vom Hafen von Alexandria zu den Pyramiden und dann noch mehr Informationen, während er uns rund um das GEM und die Pyramiden zeigte. Er kümmerte sich sehr um uns und war sehr sympathisch. Wir genossen die Autofahrt und Zeit mit ihm und Ahmed, unserem Fahrer verbracht.

2.5 stars rounded up. Pickup at port was chaotic and concerning. We finally found someone who had handwritten our name on a piece of lined paper with no tour company identifier. We had to walk through traffic to the driver. Driver did not speak English and guide was apparently going to meet us 2.5 hours later at Giza. Not at all what we expected. During the drive back, the driver texted and drove through streets that did not seem safe. Guide was knowledgeable and informative, but kept suggesting stops that we kept declining. We have had significantly better private tour experiences. That said, the pyramids, Sphinx, and Grand Egyptian Museum were truly amazing.

This tour was amazing! Our first stop was at the huge and magnificent newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum. Wow, what a collection and it’s not even half way filled with exhibits yet. The architecture of the building is incredible and during our two hour visit we were extensively filled in by our guide Hany. Then on to the Pyramids and Sphinx complex where we zipped right in. We got there early enough to beat the crowds. Hany walked us around the Cheops Pyramid with great narration. Our driver picked us up and drove to a place where we had a fantastic view of all six pyramids. Then a stop for photos at the Sphinx followed by a delicious buffet lunch at a quiet restaurant. Since the tour was private and customizable we decided to skip the shopping and head back to the ship. As I’m sure anyone who has been there knows, navigating through Cairo and Alexandria is no small task but our driver was amazing! He managed to avoid hitting pedestrians crossing the street, cars zipping from lane to lane, buses, motorcycles, camels, dogs, horse drawn carriages and children walking in traffic trying to hawk their wares. I give this tour and the company the highest marks. Their knowledge of what we were seeing and care they took to keep us safe is first rate!

What an excellent experience we had yesterday with our guide Hany and the driver whose name I forgot (so sorry). The communication with Mirette in the office was great and we were met at the gate of the port in Alexandria. A pleasant 2.5 hour drive got us to our first stop: the brand new and magnificent Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo. This is not to be missed. Wow what a collection and Hany was super knowledgeable about what we were seeing. Then off to the Pyramids and Sphinx. Hany again was very knowledgeable as we walked around the Cheops Pyramid and he then took us to a place where the view of all six pyramids was fantastic. We then went to a very nice restaurant for a delicious buffet lunch. I have to give a special shoutout to the driver. He was amazing! Navigating through Cairo and Alexandria is not for the faint of heart. So in closing I want to give this company and tour the highest marks. You will have an amazing day!
