Day trip to Luxor

The tour was amazing! Enjoyed all of the amazing sites we visited. Our tour guide, Samar was fantastic - friendly and extremely knowledgeable. One of the highlights of my first trip to Egypt.

Definitely Worth Doing

This is an excellent private tour. We had a very comfortable van, two drivers and a superb guide. We saw everything on the agenda but were able to adjust the itinerary as we saw fit. Included an excellent lunch. I would give this a 5 except for the fact that you have to exit the port to meet the tour, and are dropped outside to walk back to your ship.

Omar the Great

Omar is the best guide in Egypt hands down. He taught us to read hieroglyphics in a few hours He was entertaining and just so much fun He went above and beyond and made sure we were taken care of in regard to a flight issue We couldn't reach the tour company and he took it upon himself to help us navigate a challenging situation. One of the couples on our tour left his watch on the bus and Omar personally retrieved the watch, drove to the airport and made sure the gentleman recieved his watch before the flight left. Omar sat down and ate with us and gave c recommendations on what was good to eat He bought us water and gave us a bracelet as a souvenir. Omar did not put us in an uncomfortable position with vendors. He was so accommodating. I would recommend Omar to anyone He IS the #1 best guide in Egypt

Best Tour guy in Luxor “Omar”

We had an Amazing time with Omar in Luxor! From the start he was very entertaining and informative on the history of Egypt and the layout of this ancient city. You could feel his passion for the stories he shared and he painted the pictures with his detailed descriptions. He was clear with the plans for the day, the options for water, food, and time frames for our visits. We enjoyed absolutely every second with him and would strongly suggest booking him as your tour guide in Luxor. You won’t regret your time with Omar aka “Ramses grandson”

Not what was expected

What we were told to expect and what we got were totally different. Promised a meal on an island on the Nile, valley of the queens, Karnak temple, felucca boat ride at the end. Got room temp box lunch without beverage on a water taxi, no drink ever, unable to see tut’s tomb due to time restraint, old bus with curtains concealing views during drive and terribly uncomfortable seats, no Karnak, no valley of queens and no felucca ride

Day Trip to Luxor from Safaga Port - Not a very good experience

The tour operator provided a mid-sized van, 2 drivers, courteous, and a tour guide, knowledgeable. These were all fine. The big problem was that the tour operator did not have a certificate to enter the port property, and told us to meet outside of the port. There was no shuttle from the pier parking lot to the port gate. However, many other operators, large and small, had their buses and vans waiting for their customers, just within a short walk from the ship’s gangway. But our operator, which was not allowed to enter the port, was not there. We, two couples, had to walk about 15 minutes to one of port gates, not a particularily attractive area, and then waited for someone to meet us. After quite a few WhatsApp messages, the rep, Mohamed, finally shown up and take us to board the van, and then drove to another gate to wait for another party. They didn’t show; may be they got more confused than we did. The tour for visiting Luxor and Valley of Kings was fine, as described in the ad. Finally, after 3 some hours driving, we were back to the port, and got dropped-off at the gate that other party didn’t show. But it’s not a same gate that we got out in the morning. We walked in the dark, without signs to the ship and with only the ship’s lights at the distance as the guide. It was a long and tiring walk, nearly 20 minutes, inside of this large port property. Our question is why the tour operator did not have the required certificate for entering the port.

top Ausflug zu Luxors wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten

- top deutsch sprechender Reiseleiter (Ayman) - viele Infos erhalten - unser Schiff hatte zwei Std.
