Day worth a visit
We were well in Luxor from Jaz Lamaya near ghalib port by private car. 2 drivers that for us, the top!!!
And it was necessary 5 hours go,idem return. The journey passes quickly, you see the landscape.
A flat where we were stopped halfway for a rip-off break ,3 euros instant coffee for tourist .More expensive , than in France!
The guide was very francophone, which is not always obvious. She was good advice and not omnipresent and pleasant. A downside too because by 2 moments, she took us to shops in partnership with the agency, again tourist traps. But there was no forcing to buy.
The meal was a buffet ds a local restaurant , simple but good.
The tours were extra and the guide and drivers were flexible.
We left at 4 a.m., back 10 p.m., very tired but without regrets, we advise marsa alam tour!

Worth the drive!
This trip was absolutely worth the long drive. We had a good time with our guide Mohamed Ali. He knows everything there is to know about Egypt and his history. We can recommend! There is room for exploring and taking pictures.

Fantastic solo private tour to luxor. Cannot recommend enough!
Cannot recommend this enough! Fantastic time. Both the driver and tour guide were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Very reasonable price, especially for a solo tour and the vehicle quality and cleanliness was high. Very safe as a single lady and moved at a comfortable pace with all the key sites covered. Definitely recommend the nile cruise with additional small payment. Gives you a whole new view of luxor and provides relief from the sun and heat which can be intense at times. Sameh my tour guide spoke very good English and told me a great deal about the sites. It was also wonderful to have a female guide as a solo female visitor. My driver took me to a real Egyptian city to have a drink and fruit amongst the locals which I also very much enjoyed and got a taste of real egypt. Once again many thanks and I have recommended to all my English friends.

Fantastic visit to Abydos and Dendera temples
I’ve decided to visit two famous temples located north of Luxor together with my mum, as both of us have visited Luxor and Western Thebes in the past. It was a great choice. Both temples are beautifully preserved with some of the most impressive reliefs to be seen anywhere in Egypt. I particularly enjoyed seeing Dendera temple dedicated to goddess Hathor - mostly because it remains largely intact, with a great stone roof and mighty columns, dark chambers, magical underground crypts and twisting stairways, all covered with hieroglyphs.
Our guide Mamdouh, was very knowledgeable and willing to go an extra mile to give us a detailed information about these wonderful temples and to help us understand the history behind them. It was a very enjoyable and inspirational one day trip from Marsa Alam. We are both looking forward to returning to The Valley of the Nile, hopefully in not too distant future.

Unforgettable day in Luxor
Mandatory prerequisite: family trip (2 adults + 2 children, 7 and 3 years). We had a great desire to go to Luxor, but we were worried about our 3-year-old (we were staying in a resort where inside they offered excursions organized by a partner agency, and to get to Luxor the resort organized a collective coach, journey time about 6 hours outward + 6 hours back). For this reason I looked for an alternative agency on my own that would organize a private tour, with more possibility to change the appointments of the day according to the needs of the little girl. And I must say that I am fully satisfied!!!
Excellent organization, at our hotel came to pick us up at 5 am a private driver in mini van (we were 4 and by car there was room for 9! So maximum comfort during the journey). On the way out it took 4 hours to get to Luxor, the children slept most of the time. Upon arrival in Luxor we met our guide, the very kind and very prepared Mohi (I think it's spelled that way), an Egyptian archaeologist who spoke very good Italian. It was our very personal guide all day, ready to answer the many questions we had!! At every site we visited we had our minivan ready to wait for us, so minimal stress compared to the collective excursion organized by the resort! After the day spent seeing the many spectacular monuments of Luxor, at 4pm we left in our minivan to return to the hotel. The only drawback of the day: on the way back it took us 5 hours and not 4, I think the driver confused a road... but if we consider that the tourists who made the same excursion but collective by bus took us 6 hours and 30 to get back, then here too I have nothing to say!!
In short, fantastic experience, Luxor is an exceptional place that really makes you breathe the essence of the ancient Egyptians (much more beautiful than the Cairo pyramids that we also visited)! So excursion to recommend absolutely, despite the distance from marsa alam.
Yet another positive note the price: compared to the other hotel guests who made the same excursion but collective bus with much longer travel and waiting times (imagine how long you expect for example for 40 people to go to the bathroom), we paid only 25 euros more than I should have paid for all 4 with the resort! And they're all in for the Personal Service they got!
So I highly recommend it, the agency is serious and the trip is safe!
