Private Full-Day Luxor Highlights – East & West Banks Start your day with a hotel in Luxor, where your expert guide will welcome you for a fully guided 7-hour tour in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. West Bank – The Necropolis of Thebes Valley of the Kings Your journey begins at the legendary Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see, featuring elaborately decorated tombs that reveal the splendor of ancient Egyptian beliefs and artistry. During your visit, you’ll explore four royal tombs, including: The Tomb of Ramses IV – Famous for its vivid astronomical ceiling decorations. The Tomb of Ramses III – Featuring intricate wall reliefs and historical inscriptions. The Tomb of Merenptah – The grand burial site of Ramses II’s son. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (Tut), known for its historical significance and the treasures it once held.

  2. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (KV62)
    15 minutes

Entrance fees to the tomb of Tutankhamun (300.00 EGP) (optional) King Tutankhamun, the most famous king in the world. This young king from the New Kingdom was around 10 years old when he ascended the throne and died when he was only 19. You will get the chance to be face to face with his royal mummy in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings

  3. Tomb of Ramses III
    15 minutes

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

  4. Tomb of Merenptah
    15 minutes

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

  5. Tomb of Ramses IV
    25 minutes

The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

  6. Temple of Hatshepsut
    1 minute

After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh. Best Tour of Our Entire Trip

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our tour with Khalid. The full Luxor tour was very much worth the price in our opinion and in terms of sights to see it was probably the highlight of our trip to Egypt. Karnak temple was incredible and the valley of the kings was impressive as well. The pace was high, but just right to see as much as we saw in one day. Khalid was extremely knowledgeable and informative, we learned more than we could have hoped. His English is excellent and we really enjoyed the day we spent with him. We would definitely recommend this tour and our guide Khalid to anyone interested in checking out the sights of Luxor!

Simply the best!

Abdul provided us with one of the best tours we have ever experienced. As he is a Professor of History as well as an archaeologist, his knowledge is beyond exceptional. Our lunch was perfect, and the boat ride across the Nile an unexpected treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him!

A Terrific Day In Luxor!

My wife and I spent a terrific day exploring the main sights of Luxor with our guide Hagag Amine Mohamed including the Temples of Luxor and Karnak on the east bank and the Valley of Kings and temple of Hatshepsut on the West Bank. Hagag was extremely knowledgeable of ancient Egyptian history and was very patient with our questions. He also allowed us plenty of freedom to explore the sights on our own. He also arranged an option boat trip down the Nile to Banana Island ( at a small added fee). This one hour trip was a welcome break from all of the walking that day.

Great Tour! Lots to see and learn!

We have a great time on this tour. Hassan was a fantastic guide. Gave us time to look around and see each place. He was very friendly and easy to talk to. A very good guy. The tour was great! Covered many places in one day so we got to see a lot. Was not rushed at all. We were able to take out time. Be prepared for walking in the sun/heat so bring Sunscreen, Hat and Water. You can buy drinks and snacks from each place as there is a cafeteria every place you stop which is great so no need to worry if you forget to bring snacks and drinks. The tour guide also supplies 1 bottle of water. Lunch was great! Yummy food with a nice view. Then we paid a little extra to go across the nile on a boat. It was fantastic! Thank you Hassan our guide and Ramadan our driver. We had a great trip with you guys.

Amazing Tour and Tour Guide!

My wife and I had an amazing Private Full-Day Luxor Highlights Tour! Our guide, Khalid, met us right on time at our hotel and immediately began a really wonderful tour. Khalid was very personable and an incredibly knowledgable Egyptologist. He answered our many questions and also took some really wonderful photographs. The tour also provided a nice, comfortable car to drive to different locations in, which was very helpful. The tour itself was fabulous and we got to see all the major highlights -- the Valley of the Kings, Karnak, Luxor Temple, and more. The tour also included a delicious lunch overlooking the Nile. Although it was a packed agenda, we never felt rushed and always had time to explore on our own as well. We had a great time and heartily recommend this tour!
