Private Full-Day Luxor Highlights – East & West Banks Start your day with a hotel in Luxor, where your expert guide will welcome you for a fully guided 7-hour tour in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. West Bank – The Necropolis of Thebes Valley of the Kings Your journey begins at the legendary Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see, featuring elaborately decorated tombs that reveal the splendor of ancient Egyptian beliefs and artistry. During your visit, you’ll explore four royal tombs, including: The Tomb of Ramses IV – Famous for its vivid astronomical ceiling decorations. The Tomb of Ramses III – Featuring intricate wall reliefs and historical inscriptions. The Tomb of Merenptah – The grand burial site of Ramses II’s son. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (Tut), known for its historical significance and the treasures it once held.

  2. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (KV62)
    15 minutes

Entrance fees to the tomb of Tutankhamun (300.00 EGP) (optional) King Tutankhamun, the most famous king in the world. This young king from the New Kingdom was around 10 years old when he ascended the throne and died when he was only 19. You will get the chance to be face to face with his royal mummy in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings

  3. Tomb of Ramses III
    15 minutes

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers’

  4. Tomb of Merenptah
    15 minutes

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor .Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of coursethere is a material decrease in the number of lateral rooms, and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs .

  5. Tomb of Ramses IV
    25 minutes

The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it. The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

  6. Temple of Hatshepsut
    1 minute

After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only woman ever to reign over Egypt as Pharaoh. Tour of the valley of the kings- Karnak and Luxor temples.

Thank you Hassan for an unforgettable tour - valley of the kings. Karnak and Luxor temples. Your knowledge of Egyptian history - your passion and love of your homeland was truly inspiring. You taught us so very much - we wish you well and we highly recommend you to anyone wishing to book a private tour. Your warm smile - humour and perfect English made our trip unforgettable. We hope to see you again the next time we visit Luxor.

Beautiful tour

The tour was perfect and very interesting. The places visited are beautiful but the expertise and preparation of our guide and driver made the tour a unique experience. I highly recommend ol tour and recommend because without a professional guide it could get complicated and less interesting.

Abdul an excellent guide

Abdul and the drivers were just fantastic, he was very knowledgeable and was able to navigate all of the sites easily - all of the hassle removed and we could just enjoy seeing all of the historical places we wanted to see, as well as have good conversations with Abdul along the way

Not recommending this guide

The experience included visiting all Luxor sites. I was really looking forward to learning all about them. The story telling abilities of the guide were quite poor. He was rushing and continually on the phone. He wanted to make the tour as short as possible and literally running through places. He was giving quite limited information - I don’t feel like I learned much from him at all. He didn’t bother to go down the tombs with us or anywhere else. He just gave us a very quick narration and then told us where to go on our own. He didn’t offer to take pictures of us. Compared to other tours the guides told us a lot more not just about the sites but about entire Egyptian history and life which was more engaging and interesting. The tour price was quite expensive for the experience we received.

The best day in Luxor with Hassan

———————/— It was the best tour! Our guide, Hassan, was very friendly, and even though his English was poor, he carefully communicated and explained things to us. He even cracked jokes to liven things up, and suggested route changes and various options. He also quickly accommodated requests to change the departure time due to a flight delay and to change the finish point. I highly recommend this tour!

Book with Abdul

Abdul was the best tour guide, hands down. He brought Egypt to life, and his passion for Egyptian history even captivated my children. Our experience in Luxor would have been totally different without Abdul. I left with memories that will last a lifetime, all due to him. Simply the best!

Excellent tour

A visit to Luxo Temple is unforgettable! The temple is vibrant, the columns and statues are stunning. The guide explains Hassan very clearly and vividly, from the Amun god, the achievements of Ramesses II, to the story behind each sculpture, they are fascinating and let people completely immerse themselves in it. Driver Alam's driving technology is superior, the vehicle is spacious and comfortable, the travel agency staff communicate smoothly and arrange carefully. Highly recommend this group!
