Breathtaking trip with Prof Ahmed Elsisi.

Wow. An unforgettable experience and one of the best days of our lives. Blown away completely by it. Our driver Ahmed Saleah picked us up from Hurghada and was brilliant and highly professional. Our tour guide Prof. Ahmed Elsisi was a charming guide, extremely knowledgeable and full of information which was delivered in an easy to understand and at times humour. He clearly had so much more to tell us but kept it within our own knowledge so as not to overwhelm. The balloon trip was simply great and my wife's favourite bit. The numerous temples and the palaces we visited were amazing. All in all this trip was one of our bucket list wishes and there were many moments that were real pinch me moments and the memories will last a life time. Thank you.

The best thing to come out of Egypt since Mo Salah!

Where to start! This was by far the best tour I have taken and I’ve taken many around the world. Incredible value and bang for your buck! We were picked up promptly and driven from our hotel in Hurghada to Luxor in a modern air conditioned car. Our driver Mahmoud, who was with us throughout our tour was thoughtful, safe and the ultimate professional opening doors and providing unlimited cold drinks. We arrived in Luxor where we were warmly welcomed by Professor Ahmed Elsisi (The Prof as my wife and I named him) our expert guide and Egyptologist. He is one of the most knowledgeable and warm human beings you will ever meet. The best thing to come out of Egypt since Mo Salah!! Arriving at around 7pm he took us to a local eatery and then whizzed us around the breathtaking Luxor Temple before dropping us at our perfectly adequate budget hotel. We were picked up by the balloon company at 4.30am and taken to the launch area. Words cannot describe sunrise in a hot air balloon over the Valley of the Kings so I’ll attach a photo. The rest of the day was over to The Prof. He knew everyone and was clearly liked and respected by everyone from the other tour guides to the hawkers and the toilet attendants. He never bombarded us with facts but rather told a story and brought these incredible historic sites to life. A real sage. We felt lucky to have spent this time with him. We toured the Valley of the Kings and all the other major sights - just breathtaking. Legacy Tours were efficient and everything ran like clockwork. They obviously choose their partners and employees well and know their onions!

Walk Like an Egyptian 🇪🇬 x

Wow. Wow. Wow. I rarely write reviews but I couldn’t ignore writing a review for what has been the tour of a lifetime. From start to finish, everything has been perfect. Legacy Tours have communicated efficiently at every step of the way to ensure our trip was exactly as we wished for it to be. We had originally planned a single day trip but Legacy Tours amended this to an overnight tour, and we are delighted they did. Luxor Temple in the evening, away from the heat and madness was staggering (and having a decent rest before the busy day ahead was much appreciated). Our driver, Mahmoud - what a superstar. Driving proficiently, safely and such good company - and with total comfort (and cold drinks en route)! Nothing was too much trouble, even when we asked for a coffee stop. I could not recommend him enough… you are in safe and kind hands. However, our guide and Egyptologist was the legend that is Professor ‘The Prof’ Ahmed Elsisi - he is the cherry on top of the icing. His knowledge, warmth, humour, professionalism and passion is quite something to behold. I have never felt more assured, better led or as cared for as we did with our new lovely friend ‘The Prof’. The trip itself: incredible. The balloon ride was like something out of the movies: picturesque, serene, totally emotional! Our pilot was brilliant - fun, professional, experienced, happy. From a girl who doesn’t do heights, you would never know you were off the ground. If you ever want to experience a hot-air balloon ride, Luxor is the place to do it (the views at sunrise over The Valley of The Kings… oh my!). From start to finish, the whole experience was unparalleled by any tour I’ve ever been on - with our own photoshoot (literally, our own shoot!), great food, the planned tour, the storytelling (by The Prof) and the mind-blowing monuments, tombs, history and art work. Sailing on our private boat on the Nile and seeing King Tut and his tomb were just the extra bonus. I have always wanted to go to Egypt to see the pyramids (which I now have), but I would easily recommend Luxor as a place to visit too (and we will definitely be back to see more of Luxor). Thank you to Legacy Tours… what a blast!

Hot Air Balloon Ride with guided tour of the valley of the kings

Our guide professor Ahmed Elsisi was extremely knowledgeable and made the experience both fun and interesting. The experience from start to finish was first class from our driver who drove us to Luxor from Hurghada to the pilot and ground staff at the Hot Air Balloon. On an exceptionally hot day our needs weee catered for in every way. Would highly recommend.

Unforgettable excursion – perfectly organized from start to finish!

Unforgettable excursion – perfectly organized from start to finish! We were completely satisfied! The balloon ride at sunrise was fantastic – safe, stress-free and beautifully organised. The experienced captain and friendly photographer (provided by Lagancy) made the experience perfect. We would particularly like to highlight our tour guide Mark: He speaks excellent German, is warm, caring and has impressive historical knowledge – precisely dosed and tailored to our interests. Even our 9-year-old son was enthusiastic about the Valley of the Kings, although we had doubts beforehand whether it would be exciting enough for him. His photos and videos with music were the icing on the cake. Also our driver was very nice, reliable and the car comfortable – ideal for driving with child. Thanks to the overnight stay in advance, we started the day sleepy and relaxed. The entire planning was flexibly adapted to our wishes – the process, pace and content were entirely tailored to us. We felt like VIP guests with private, personal attention at Lagancy – definitely better off than many other tourist groups we saw along the way. An all-round successful experience that we warmly recommend!

Unforgettable experience

Excellent trip on the Hot Air balloon over Luxor an unforgettable experience, our driver for the day was Boomba who looked after us well, including drinks and stop offs. Our guide Professor Ahmed was nice and answered all our questions he was very knowledgeable on Ancient Egypt which was very impressive. Also included was breakfast and lunch in Paris restaurant tasting local Egyptian cuisine. Our guide Ahmed also took us on a Nile boat trip which wasn't included in our tour so thank you we loved it. Couldn't asked for a better trip so thank you to our driver and guide and the staff at Paris restaurant.

Wonderful!

Excellent experience and the "what to expect" was exactly what was detailed! The tour guide and Egyptologist was very knowledgeable on ancient history and was very helpful and took his time with us to tell his stories! The hot air balloon flight was absolutely amazing and a memory I will forever cherish! Food at Paris was very nice and it was good to taste the local cuisine. Big shout out to Boomba our driver for providing water and looking after us from leaving our hotel in Hurghada to our returns. Overall I would highly recommend this trip and well done to both guide and driver. Memories were certainly made!

A truly unforgettable trip!

A truly unforgettable trip. We were collected from our hotel at 11PM by our driver Mohamed who drove us the 4 hours to Luxor. Here we stopped for breakfast in a restaurant, which although was lovely, we were sadly on multiple occasions made to feel extremely uncomfortable by two male workers which made us eager to leave. Although not part of the company we feel is it important to highlight. After breakfast we were collected by mini bus and taken to the hot air balloons, here we met our lovely photographer Islam who took some incredible photos for us which we will forever treasure! The Hot air balloon was a magical experience, offering exceptional views of the sunrise and an insight into life for those living below in Luxor. Everyone involved worked hard to keep us safe and any worry of being high off the ground disappeared quickly. We then met our guide Ahmed and headed to the valley of the kings, where we explored the three tombs with him by our side. Ahmed was an exceptional storyteller, showing his passion and knowledge for all things Egypt.. also showing off his photography skills by taking many photos for us. Once finished here we headed to an artists workshop, where we discovered how the artists craft different sculptures, having a go ourselves and even leaving with our own which was a highlight. Due to illness we cut our trip short, which was extremely disappointing but Ahmed was exceptionally kind and more than understanding. As two young females we were apprehensive about taking such a long trip alone, but our driver Mohamed quickly eliminated those fears with his charming personality. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, chatting and laughing with us which made a long car ride a little bit more bearable. So extra thank you to him! This trip was truly unforgettable and I would not hesitate to book with them again if I am lucky to return to Egypt. If you are thinking about it- just book.. you will not be disappointed!

A Wonderful Full-Day Experience in Luxor

This tour was an unforgettable and comprehensive way to experience the beauty of Luxor. From the breathtaking morning hot air balloon ride—offering stunning views of Luxor from above—to visiting the ancient monuments and majestic temples, the day was packed with history and awe-inspiring sights. I was lucky to be guided by the amazing Samira, who was incredibly knowledgeable, answered every question, and made sure I felt guided and informed throughout the tour. Her insights added so much value to the experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Egypt. Just be sure to plan ahead—especially for the 4-hour round trip drive, which can be tiring. But once you’re there, every moment is worth it!
