A wonderful day in Cairo

After a long search, I decided to book with memnon reisen. Everything was very uncomplicated via WhatsApp with an immediate confirmation. This excursion will stay in my memory for a lifetime. It was an absolute dream. What was promised is kept here. We booked VIP and also received it! The pickup was more than punctual and we had a minibus for three people. The driver drove us safely through the traffic to Cairo. On site, a German-speaking tour guide was waiting for us. You could really tell how proud this man is of his country's history and he tried to convey that. I have rarely experienced someone who also engaged so well with the teenager. He kept including the young man in the conversation. He guided us safely through the dense crowds and also warned us about the dubious vendors at every stop. He also consciously stepped back and gave us time as a family to take pictures. The museum was absolutely overwhelming. In this short time, we received a wealth of information and were guided through the exhibition. Afterwards, there was lunch as a buffet. The food was excellent. Then, unfortunately, the return trip to Hurghada came much too quickly. Many thanks for this completely successful day and this professional execution.

Super excursion to Cairo with flight

From start to finish, everything worked out great. We had a very good German-speaking tour guide with an incredible amount of knowledge and many facts about Egypt. There were answers to all our questions, especially those of our children 😊 From the first contact to the pickup, and everything else, everything worked out great. The day's planning was very flexible; there was even a spontaneous Nile cruise and the best falafel of our lives 😊 I recommend Memnonreisen fully and completely, and especially our tour guide Jakob.

Very nice private day trip to Cairo with flight.

We booked a day trip to Cairo with a flight on August 23, 2026. It was a private tour just for our family. The booking and contact via WhatsApp worked smoothly. Big praise to our guide Markus. He has incredible knowledge and explained everything to us in an exciting and understandable way. He was very friendly and always checked on our wishes. We felt we were in the best of hands. The itinerary of the trip was perfectly organized. The driver picked us up punctually at 2:00 AM from our hotel in Marsa Alam and drove us to the airport in Hurghada. From Hurghada, we then flew to Cairo, where we were met by our guide Markus. He planned the daily schedule with us, whereby we could always decide for ourselves what we wanted to do and how long we wanted to stay somewhere. He also always left it up to us whether we wanted to explore on our own or together with him. We decided that he should accompany us, and that was the right decision. Also, a big compliment to our driver Esad, who drove us safely through Cairo's traffic. From the airport, we went straight to the pyramids. Thanks to the new hop-on hop-off buses, the entire area could be explored in a relaxed way. Afterward, we drove to a restaurant for lunch. The food was very delicious. After that, we went to the new Egyptian Museum. Here, we also decided that Markus should accompany us. He guided us perfectly through the exhibitions and explained everything in an understandable way. To finish, we went to the old town to explore the Khan el-Khalili bazaar and end the day at the El Fishawy Cafe. It was an excellent excursion. We would book with Memnon Reisen again at any time and can recommend the tour without reservation.

Wonderful excursion with great service.

We were out yesterday, August 29, 2026, with Memnon Reisen by plane from Hurghada for an excursion to Cairo, including a visit to the Pyramids of Giza, lunch, the new Egyptian Museum, the Grand Bazaar, and the Old City of Cairo. Everything was wonderfully organized. Communication via WhatsApp beforehand worked excellently. The very friendly driver from Memnon Reisen picked us up in the morning for the airport and provided us with drinks. In the evening after the excursion, he waited in front of the airport and brought us safely home to the hotel in Sahl Hasheesh. Arriving in Cairo, our tour guide Magda/Magdi and our driver Rafat were already waiting for us. We were greeted very warmly and the daily schedule was discussed on the drive to Giza. Our driver Rafat drove us through the chaos of Cairo all day and always brought us safely to the next destination. Magda/Magdi (our tour guide) conveyed so much worth knowing about the culture, history, and daily life in Egypt to us. It was fun to engage in an exchange with him. The highlight for us was the Egyptian Museum with over 70,000 exhibits. We still know the old museum and were completely thrilled with the new one. Our tour guide led us through the various exhibitions and shared his knowledge with us with fun and joy. Lunch at a typical Egyptian restaurant was also very good. To finish, we were in the old town and at the bazaar and drank tea together in the old town. It was a perfect day for both of us. Memnon also checked in via WhatsApp the next day to see if everything was OK. You are insured on all excursions. We are pleased that such an association of Egyptian travel experts is taking on the big industry giants in tourism. When we go to Egypt again, we will book excursions with Memnon Reisen again. Anyone who values individual care and very good service is in the right place here. Thomas and Silvia

On 08/19/2026, we completed the 1-day tour from Hurghada to Cairo by plane. The contact with the Memnon Reisen team, as well as the organization, was flawless! Our guide Magdy made this excursion an unforgettable experience. His experience and routine brought us impressive and emotional memories that we will never forget. Thank you, just thank you for such a great experience!

Great trip!

We had a great day with Jakob. From the airport pickup, to the tour of the pyramids and the Sphinx, GEM, and even a spontaneous boat trip on the Nile, everything was organized perfectly and we learned a lot from Jakob. The lunch was also good. They even cooked something special for our daughter, since she cannot eat gluten. Jakob fulfilled every wish we had. Thank you!

Unique experience.

Spent a day in Cairo with guide Mgdy. He was an excellent companion throughout the day. He explained the pyramids, the Egyptian Museum, and life in Cairo to us brilliantly. The boat trip on the Nile and the walk through the bazaar were also great. Thanks for the super organization; the pickup from the hotel in Hurghada and the return trip by plane from Cairo back to Hurghada worked great. Heartfelt thanks to Mgdy and his driver. He also drove very competently through the streets of Cairo.

Just do it!

5/5 stars! Magdi is a super smart guide through whom one could really learn a lot of new, exciting knowledge. He is knowledgeable about everything and you can tell that he really knows his stuff. I would recommend him and the entire tour at any time. Especially if you are very enthusiastic about history.
