What you'll see
- Catacombs Of Kom El Shoqafa1 hour
discover the most famous attractions in Alexandria. The tour will begin with the Catacomb where you can note the mixture happened between the Pharaonic and Greco-Roman art in the decoration of the tombs. After that, you will move to Pompey’s Pillar to know why they called it with this name.
- Pompey's Pillar1 hour
Now it is time to enjoy Pompey’s Pillar that was built in honor of Emperor Decaldianus. The total height of the column, including the base, is about 2,685 meters. On the west side are two bases, which can be reached via an underground staircase. There are also two pink granite statues that look like sphinxes.
- Alexandria1 hour
During the tour you will have two options: 1) Enjoy Famous local food in Alexandria such as the famous Alexandrian Falafel, Foul, Liver sandwich, the famous Azza ice cream in Alexandria, Fresca, and more. 2)Or you can enjoy a delicious seafood meal for lunch at a local restaurant instead:-)

visit Qaitbay Citadel, the Ottoman fortress built where the Lighthouse of Alexandria had existed to enjoy with the Mediterranean Sea view.
- Bibliotheca Alexandrina1 hour
Finally, end your tour by visiting the modern library of Alexandria considered as a cultural complex, then, our tour guide will move you back to your hotel. (In case you visit Alexandria on Friday, you will visit the library from outside with a panoramic view)

Great tour, Excellent service
We booked the day trip to Alexandria from Cairo and we are very pleased with our experience. Our guide was Adel and he was incredibly knowledgeable and professional about the history of each site we visited. It just made our trip so easy to be able to have him handle everything; the ticket purchases, keeping the street vendors at bay, organizing a beautiful lunch overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Felt like VIPs with our own guide and personal car. Our driver drive calmly and was always right there when we needed him. Shout out to Explore Egypt tours for coming through at such short notice. I booked the tour at 8pm and your was booked within the hour for pickup at 7am the next morning. Highly recommend for sure. The Catacombs alone are worth the trip.

Another wonderful day
Alexander is such a beautiful place. I wanted to come back to Cairo on the same day. Aref planned well. Not only have seeing the history of the city and Egypt but also the beautiful beach and local good. Another wonderful day!

Knowledgeable and Kind
Ahmed and Mohammed were professional, knowledgeable and kind. They showed up on time to our hotel and communicated the itinerary. Mohammed drove us safely through the traffic to our destinations. Ahmed patiently told us the history and significance of the artifacts and locations we visited. Great tour guides!

Day trip from Cairo to Alexandria
Our tour guide, Ahmed Elsayed, and Mohammed the driver was absolutely amazing! The communication was clear from the beginning with being picked up on time. Ahmed was patient and answered all my questions and was very knowledge about Egyptian history. The entire day was very well organized and we learned a great deal on this tour. I would highly recommend that anyone visiting Cairo do this tour, as it is very rich in history and stunningly beautiful. A added bonus was that Ahmed was an amazing photographer who captured all of our moments. Both our tour guide and driver were attentive, professional and made us very comfortable.

Perfect tour
It was a perfect tour given by Ahmed elsayed with wonderful explanation and an very unique experience, we had a wonderful lunch with view on the sea, would recommend it to everyone !!

Mohamed the BEST TOUR GUIDE EVER!!!!
It couldn't be better!!! We came to Cairo from Mexico. Mohamed our tour guide it was the BEST!! I feel regret to don't book my other tours with him! It was a few restrictions in Alexandria like the library its closed because of COVID but he did worth every minute in our tour. He takes care of my future wife and me and very respectful every minute. Thank you Explore Egypt Tours I hope every tour guide its like him. By the way, his spanish is great and also the driver Mahjmut it was super kind and nice. Both of them are the a great team. 1000% recommended!!!! Carlos & Fernanda!

Moment to be cherished
It's been a long time since I’ve been to Egypt with my friends to explore the one of wonders of the world as well celebrated New Year's Eve too 😊 And now I introduce our friend/guide Azmy Salama from the Explore Egypt Tours Company, he is knowledgeable, humble and fun-loving person he has made our journey full of fun not boring AHH thank god hahah, jokes apart I truly recommend and appreciate it.
