Insightful, safe, and seamless — the perfect way to experience Old Cairo as a solo traveller.
I had an excellent experience on the 4-hours private tour of Islamic Mosque, Coptic Cairo & Khan el-Khalili — as a solo woman traveller I felt completely safe throughout the day, and the guide was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind, bringing the history and culture of Old Cairo to life with engaging insights. Our driver navigated Cairo’s busy streets with confidence and made the journey smooth and stress-free, which I really appreciated given the city’s traffic. The private nature of the tour meant the pace was comfortable, and I never felt rushed at any site. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Cairo’s religious and cultural highlights in a well-organised, enjoyable way.

Best historical tour of Cairo
We had an incredible day exploring Cairo with Bisho. He was informative and insightful, providing context to every place we visited.
He ensured we hit every spot on the itinerary, from Coptic Cairo to Khan el-Khalili, without ever feeling rushed. This tour was definitely worth the money, and I can't recommend Bisho enough to anyone visiting the city.

Coptic and old Cairo
Doaa was an excellent guide, giving us time and was very well informed. It was good to hear about how Muslims and Christian’s live along side each other. The driver expertly navigated the difficult and busy traffic

Coptic and Islamic tour
Doaa was an excellent guide - informative and tailored to us even though it meant the tour overran due to lot of traffic. Driver negotiated all this very well so we were pleased to have booked the tour. Thank you Doaa

Solid tour with a good guide, ask to modify your itinerary
Overall, the tour with Ahmed was informative and enjoyable. We learned a lot about the history of not just the places visited but about the Egyptian culture, history and more. He was pleasant and took the time to answer all of our questions, and was a gracious host.
The tour itinerary itself was decent, however we were disappointed and a bit caught off guard by the many stops at Egyptian tourist “traps” to sell products. I understand it’s a way of life, however the stops chosen by the tour company were not as engaging and workers were less friendly, and the stops were not in a nice area of the city. It really removed a lot of the enjoyment from the day. The last stop at the market was interesting, but felt very rushed, the most enjoyable part was sitting having a coffee with Ahmed to learn more about the area.
I have to also add, the tour operator was relentless about asking for a review, just hours after we finished before we even relaxed for the night. This was unacceptable and lost a star for that alone.
Overall, the tour conveyed what we were looking for and we enjoyed our time with Ahmed, but want to manage expectations about some of the other parts of the experience.

Wonderful 4 hour tour
Had a wonderful tour with Ehab and our driver Ahmed. He was able to tailor the tour to our preferences - highlighting the major sights in Coptic Cairo, Citadel, and mosques. We also stopped to purchase papyrus and spices - but were able to skip some of the other shopping to have more time for architectural touring.

Experience is worth it at all
Fady made the day a full experience and we would not have made it without our driver. I recommend the tour because as a first time visitor you cannot do it on your own. Super service, everything worked out great. Personally we do not like the shopping in between but the market was great and we added a traditional short dinner at the endof our tour for little extra money
