Constantly harassed, scary, unsafe
I would have paid money NOT to go on this tour. They booked our flights to Luxor so late that we only had 3.5 hours to sleep. The “3 star hotel”…. Just see photos for yourself. Had it not been midnight when we arrived, there’s no way I would have stayed there. But there are no Ubers in this city and I wasn’t going to walk around in the middle of the night to find other accommodations. They asked to hold on to my passport over night. Big red flag. I refused. Just look up the hotel and reviews for yourself. It is called “New Pola” in Luxor. This tour company actually had the audacity to tell me that it was the nicest hotel in Luxor when I complained. The driver was late picking us up the next morning. There was zero direction or instruction. We were just expected to blindly follow in a game of stop, go and wait. We had to repeatedly keep asking the driver to turn the van back on bc it was so hot with no AC and there were 10 of us packed in the van. When we finally arrived, we stood in a dusty field for over an hr while we were harassed by flies, children and homeless people trying to sell you things, shoving items in your face, and begging for money. The balloon finally took off after 7am, well after sunrise so it was miserably hot. This tour is advertised as a “sunrise” hot air balloon. And just so you know, there are about 20 ppl per balloon basket. When the balloon landed, the attendants started asking for tips before we had even gotten out of the basket. The captain told us we should be “grateful” for the attendants bc in any other experience we would have been expected to land the balloon and reel it in ourselves. They scoffed at us when we declined. When we climbed out of the balloon, we were immediately bombarded with people harassing us. They got right in your face, tugging on your jackets and purses while asking for tips and money. The guide did nothing to help. It was very scary. They followed us for 100 yards all the way back to the van. When we finally got in the van, they pressed their faces in to the windows and banged on the van until we pulled away. When we got back to the hotel, we immediately began looking up return flights and headed for the airport. I can’t believe that this company is even allowed to sell tours on Viator. They put you in disgusting, unsafe conditions, and then tell you it’s not their fault or try convince you it’s not that bad. I will absolutely be disputing this. Viator, you should be ashamed of yourself for not vetting these companies.

Great experience
Marvelous trip! Well organized and we were checked on at each stage! They didn’t give up in the first morning because we thought the departure to Luxor was in the afternoon not in the morning! Got to the airport in time so the day was saved. Our guide waited at the airport and took us around then left us at the hotel in the night. He was a bit shy and could maybe improve by speaking a bit higher. He was very knowledgeable a knew what he was talking about. The next morning was the highlight of the trip and what an experience! The balloon trip was a wow!

Horrible experience
Driver didn’t show up for pick up. This overnight tour includes Nice Tours arranging hotel pick up and drop off. Includes air transport, overnight stay in Luxor, hot air balloon and a guide for the day in Luxor. Communication with the Nice Tours before the tour was through Whatsapp and gave us info about the flight and they have asked for passport pictures. When the driver didn’t show up the day of the tour, we called Egypt Air and they don’t have any bookings for us. Extremely disappointed with this tour company. We have called them them day of and they would not answer our phone calls and text. We are waiting for a refund. They should not be part of Trip Advisor. Do not book this tour.

They canceled with no rebooking
This was the main thing my husband wanted to do for his birthday trip to Egypt. We booked several weeks before we traveled to ensure everything went well. This company canceled us the night before we were to leave due to them not being able to get us a flight , which should’ve been completed weeks prior. They didn’t offer any correspondence and didn’t offer any rebooking or alternatives for us. We did receive a full refund but there are very unprofessional. Book with another company.

Left stranded in Ciaro
We had this experience booked and were really looking forward to it, we recieved a message of confirmation via WhatsApp by the tour company, sent all our passport details and were asked to confirm that we had no intention of canceling. In the upcoming days we sent various messages to the tour company to receive no reply, looking at the cancellation policy we read that 24 hour notice is required to cancel the trip so expected to still be going. We woke up today (the day of the trip) packed our bags and checked out of our hotel, we were starting to get worried as we hadn't heard anything for a couple days, I had to find somewhere to check my emails only to find at 2.30 this morning they cancelled our trip, with no warning or correspondence. We have now been left in Ciaro with no where to stay and have to wait for 7 days to get a refund, no one from the tour company will respond to us- overall we so disappointed and angry. If you want a company that you are able to get hold of and that will not cancel on you last minute do not book this trip.

Well organized & Planned Day!
The tour was fantastic! We took a spectacular balloon flight in Luxor, as well as tours of the west and east banks of Luxor (especially Valley of the kings MUST to see) and a sunset felucca ride. Everything was a lot of fun. Thank you very much. :) We also had a fantastic tour guide"Maria".
