We have had the most wonderful experience from start to finish with our incredible guide John.
John’s English is excellent and his deep knowledge of ancient Egyptian history significantly extended our reasonable background knowledge.
John’s extensive knowledge of the ancient sites and fantastic ability to avoid tourist congestion around important highlights inside the sites made our experience all the more hassle-free and special.
John was incredibly respectful and polite to everyone, even street vendors and people who might otherwise be intrusive. This made our transitions between the cruise and the ancient sites very easy and stress-free. He is a very nice man.
We felt safe and very well looked after at all times. People from Australia often asked me before our holiday: is it safe to travel in Egypt? I can honestly say that I felt my family was safe at all times: just as safe as travelling in Europe.
John communicated with us impeccably from before we started the tour and throughout our journey. We knew exactly what to expect and the precise timing of all activities. John was incredibly well organised with everything: our transportation timing was always perfect and the vehicles we travelled in were in great condition and very comfortable. John always had our tickets pre-booked for every site we visited so there was no time wasted at the incredible ancient sites.
It has been a magical time for me and my family and I would give John and the tour six starts if I could!

Cruise with Exoticca
I traveled with Exoticca, and everything was perfect, I had a Spanish speaking guide, everything super recommended, the country is beautiful, the prices are great..., in short a dream trip.

Fantastic trip - 10/10
The whole trip has been fantastic - especially because of our guide, John! We have felt very safe throughout - in Egypt and on the tour with John. He has been great in informing us about the ancient Egyptian culture and religion and we have learnt a lot as well as having a relaxing time on the lovely cruise! We couldn’t recommend enough!

Fantastic Experience
Excellent experience. We really appreciate John, who was our tour guide during the four days. His ability to explain everything so clearly and knowledge on the history behind everything made the tour enjoyable. He also bought us snacks and juices before we got on the cruise, which was nice. The cruise itself was excellent. We appreciate having everything organized for us. It was really convenient. I highly recommend this tour. Look no further!

Unforgettable cruise - wouldn’t hesitate to recommend
This cruise with Journey to Egypt was a fantastic experience. The company was responsive, helpful and easy to deal with in the lead up to the trip. They were happy to accommodate extra requirements like onward transfers.
The boat was of a high standard, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
Our guide John was amazing. Super knowledgeable, experienced, accommodating, and helpful. For example helping us with pharmacy purchases and buying water. He really went above and beyond to make our tour exceptional. His guiding presentations at each tour site were engaging, and he used different visual aids (diagrams, pictures) to help us understand.
Egypt’s tourism industry is bustling and carrying on as per normal. We felt very safe wherever we went, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend people come to Egypt and take this tour. Recommended for all ages - we had one person in their late 30s and one in their 70s and both had a fantastic time. It was the trip of a lifetime.

Excellent Experience with Mena and Journey to Egypt
We (couple) did the 3 night cruise from Aswan - Luxor with Mena from Journey to Egypt. We had an excellent experience throughout and would highly recommend Mena to anyone who is seeking an experienced and friendly tour guide. From the minute we landed in Aswan airport to the moment we were dropped off at our hotel at the end we were looked after all the time. We had air conditioned vehicles privately for ourselves and Mena had already arranged the tickets for all the tourist attractions in advance, so we never queued for anything. Mena was also very flexible and tailored the experience to us as one morning we were particularly tired after getting up early for a hot air balloon and it was no issue adjusting our itinerary that day with Mena (we still covered everything). Overall we had an excellent experience with Mena and Journey to Egypt and will be recommending them to any friends or family who wish to visit Egypt.

Journey to Egypt and the Nile Cruise were fantastic
We had an absolutely wonderful time. The Nile Cruise was incredible. All of the tours set up for us were top notch and very informative. Having the chance to see some of these iconic sites and swim in the Nile River were some of those lifetime experiences that you'll remember the rest of your life!
Journey to Egypt did an amazing job! They were easy to get hold of, and they kept you "in the loop" the entire time. Their customer service was beyond excellent. If I went back to Egypt, 100% I would use them again.

Superb experience not to be missed
Fantastic experience- Journey to an Egypt Organised this experience for us and pick ups and drop offs from the cruise ship. The trip and experience of the hot air balloon is not to be missed. Sindbad balloons chosen for us by Journey to Egypt were so well prepared and professional. Well done

Super guided tour in a safe environment
Excellent tour so enriching and relaxing at the same time. Our guide, John, cannot be congratulated enough for his knowledge of all the temples and superb historic sights visited. John accompanied us throughout the Cruise, his professional approach meant we were looked after all the time but always giving us our private space. John and Journey to Egypt are highly recommended and when anything goes unplanned such as our 5hr delay in departing Luxor they immediately stepped in and ensured all arrangements were made to our satisfaction. Well done, thank you.
And October 24 was a great month to visit, absolutely tranquil and safe for tourists.

Superb Experience
This was an amazing experience. I was a bit concerned about safety however there was never a moment that I felt unsafe. Our guide, John, was super, leading us to the best sites whilst giving us great explanations and insights to all aspects of the Egyptian past and present cultures.
