Overview

Begin with pickup at your centrally-located hotel or cruise ship the exact time of departure depends on your location, and will be confirmed by the local supplier after booking. Transfer to a jetty on the Nile River, where you’ll board a boat for Sohail Island. you’ll travel in a modern motorboat. Take in views of the Nile riverbanks on the way to Sohail Island, passing Elephantine Island along the way. Disembark on Sohail Island, and visit a traditional Nubian house to learn about the history and culture of the Nubian people over a glass of welcome tea. After your time at the house, take a walk to explore the island on your own, strolling through brightly-painted villages, and chatting with the locals. At the end of the afternoon, meet back up at the boat jetty, where you’ll begin the return trip to Aswan. This tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel or cruise ship

An unforgettable day with our amazing guide, Ahmed!

We had a fantastic day filled with wonderful moments, thanks to our incredible guide, Ahmed “Abou Joudy.” He shared fascinating insights about the Nubians and their way of life, making our journey even more enriching. We had the chance to discover high-quality local spices and find charming souvenirs at great prices. I highly recommend stopping for the milkshake—it was absolutely delicious! The vibrant colors, the opportunity to swim, and the private boat tour around the island all added to the magic of the experience. It was a delightful, family-friendly adventure with our outstanding guide. We are all unanimous in giving this experience a 25/10, it exceeded every expectation! Thank you so much!

Great guide and great experience

Abo joudy was a fantastic tour guide. He was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He has such a great energy and made sure we got everything we hoped for out of our experience: visiting the village, trying some Nubian foods and guiding us through the market! I can’t speak highly enough about Abo joudy - such a great guide and a great guy!

Amazing guide !

Abo Joudy is an amazing guide, very nice, very kind. He really tried to make this afternoon amazing for us and he succeeded. Despite the fact that the « Nubian Village tour » was less authentic than expected for us, he found ways to spend quality time and discussion with local people in addition. He also really took care of our children, and took pictures and videos to keep track of these day. I warmly recommend the guide ! And I invite the company to review the tour to make it more authentic as possible by giving more liberty to the guide to create authentic experience.

Memorable Boat drive and Village

Nubian Village Tour is a fantastic experience.. The guide Abu joudy is very friendly and engaging. Since I booked the 4pm tour am I was alone so private boat fully available for me. Overall nice experience I recommend this tour. Hopefully Abu Joudy kids will like the chocolates I brought for them.

Super experience in Aswan

Super experience and Mo was a perfect guide for all of us. We put our feet in the Nile too and we did henna !!!! If you are in Aswan you must do this experience too !!!

The Egypt you don’t expect

We spent about three hours between the boat and visiting the village. It is certainly a very different experience than you would expect from Egypt, but equally interesting because it comes into contact with a very different culture and fun because you can even pick up a baby crocodile.

Nubian village boat tour

Beautiful trip to the nubian village, the boat tour was marvellous, really special views of the nile, then we went to the nubian village met some local people. Mo was super nice guide, making feel at ease at all times. Highly reccomend!
