It was a lovely experience especially the tour guide she was very lovely, I just wish the dinner cruise was an actual thing but at the end they had mentioned it wasn’t apart of the guide. Other than that it was a memorial adventure!

I really enjoyed this private tour. Essam my driver is very calm and good whilst my tour guide (Berry) is very knowledgable and sweet. She made this tour wonderful. And she also takes good photos. Highly recommended. Kudos to the team!

I had a 22-hour layover in Cairo starting at 5:30am, so I figured a day trip to the pyramids was a must! I booked an 8:00am pickup directly from the airport ($20US additional fee on day of for airport transportation, which I found fair). I was in contact with my guide, Reham, who helped me to connect with my driver, Essam, at the airport - we picked up Reham on the way out to Giza. Reham was an excellent guide, providing me with a lot of new information about the pyramids, Giza, and Cairo, and answering any questions I had. Her English was excellent, and she was easy to understand. The tour started with a long stop at the pyramids. She accompanied me on the shuttle busses that take visitors to different parts of the pyramid sites - I wanted to walk, but you soon learn how far away everything is! Understanding the scale of the pyramids was still challenging, even being right there! Reham also took excellent photos of me during our visit, which I really appreciated! I went on a camel ride which was really fun and surreal - I was on a camel! At the pyramids! Mind still blown. Also visited the Sphinx and witnessed terrible tourist behaviour (don’t climb on ancient walls that say “no climbing”, people!). I wished I would have picked up a few souvenirs from vendors here - cheaper than the souvenir shop we visited later, for the same products. Part of the tour involved “shopping”, and a choice of a paper-making demonstration, fragrance, and/or spice market stops. These parts of the tour were a bit disappointing, as the stops were very clearly tourist-only, and it was clear to me this was an opportunity to buy things, not really learn about culture or processes. The “bazaar” was a jewellery store with a second floor souvenir shop. Reham and Essam ate lunch with me at a restaurant (included) - had a choice of chicken shawarma or two other dishes that I cannot recall. It was delicious! Next was a quad-bike rip around the desert, with the pyramids in the distance. I didn’t bring a scarf for my hair and face, but was able to buy one from the quad-bike centre for $5 - good thing, because it got dusty out there! The boys/young men who accompany you also take great photos for you on your phone/camera. After this Reham left is, and the driver took me to the Nile dinner cruise. The dinner buffet was set out while docked, and then the boat cruised along the Nile for sunset. There were 2 dancers and a singer on the boat, which provided some additional entertainment. When I went, there were only about 20 guests on board. I had a good time, but I can imagine it gets busier on other days and is much more lively! Excellent value tour - I would go again!
