We did a private food tour with MO. The Van picked us up and dropped us back to the hotel - Very nice. The driver was amazing and joked around with our daughter all day -- adding to her fun. The food was excellent and this is a tour not to miss.

This tour was perfect for me. I love food and shopping so I shopped and ate and shopped and ate. It was my first day and first time in Cairo and my guide and driver were a great introduction to the warmth of the local people and local zesty authentic cuisine . If you want to see the back streets where few tourists venture then this tour is for you.

Mo is very knowledgeable and fun to have as a tour guide. The food stops are local cuisine and excellent. He took us to some different retailers: oils, papyrus and rugs. We are having a rug made where he has been invaluable in following up on the order. You can not go wrong with Mo.

Mo was great! He can read hieroglyphics!! Impressive. We explored Giza & many of it’s wonderful food offerings from a traditional breakfast to a traditional lunch & more. A word to the wise. Do not eat breakfast before you go on this tour!!!! We also visited some shops along the way & watched rugs being made by hand, smelled myrrh & frankincense, & learned how paper was made from papyrus. It was a lot of fun & we enjoyed learning about this area of the world.

Hala has a wonderful personality who is very entertaining. She is very social and her crew are nothing but nice and kind and they help out by taking any pictures requested as well as providing high quality videos of the experience. Come hungry because you will not be able to eat it all. This is an authentic Egyptian food experience combined with much entertainment with good people.

Sugar Queen is the perfect guide! She is the most charismatic, energetic and fun! We tried so many different foods from salads to koshary to grilled meats and all kinds of desserts. She even took us to a Shisha bar. Everything was so authentic and delicious. She also made some really fun, quick videos. Overall, it was one of the best food tours I’ve ever been on.

This tour was ok. While the tour guide (Mo) and his driver were very nice, it seemed like “the food tour” was very focused on shopping and circling around the same city blocks quite a bit. The quality of the restaurants and food wasn’t as we expected. It would probably be better to do a cooking class than this particular tour.

Mo was an excellent guide, cheerful, energetic and very knowledgeable. The food was excellent, breakfast, lunch, coffee, ice cream and pastries. In between the eating we went to an aromatherapy place, a spice shop and a papyrus place. The only thing that stopped me rating this as excellent is that although these were very interesting and there is no obligation to buy there is still the “hard sell” - the reason we signed up for a food tour was to avoid the constant selling. I would still recommend it but just be aware it’s not all about the food.

We were excited for the food tour. Pickup was on-time and we had a nice breakfast of falafel, Arabic coffee and fool. We also had some fresh juices and a lunch of Koshary. All food was great and clean and well presented. The remainder/majority of the tour was involved with us being taken to a papyrus shop, perfume shop, cotton shop, spices shop. Although "there was no pressure to buy" these were typical tourist shops. I understand that you can't keep eating wasn't expecting that much time dedicated to 'shopping'. It seemed odd to buy a ticket to be taken to tourist shops. Would not recommend this tour.
