Great Tour with Mo and Haitham
My husband and I had a great time on the Cairo food tour. Our guide Mo and driver Haitham were very kind, friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed experiencing Egyptian food at local restaurants in Giza. The food and mango juice were all delicious! Our guide also took us to an oil and spice shop in between restaurants. Haitham also drove us to the airport and pointed out interesting spots along the way.

Amazing experience with Amira
Had the greatest experience on this tour! Amira Fawzy Eltayar who was the tour guide was very loving and warm with us, we had actually felt as though we were a family and were also very comfortable posing questions and getting well received feedback from Amira. The food was delicious and visually appealing. Pick up and drop off was also well arranged and we felt at ease exploring this tour. Highly recommend this tour (especially with Amira :))!

Amazing Food
absolutely delicious but also a LOT of food. There was just the 3 of us plus the guide and driver. I do highly recommend this tour since I think you haven’t truly been to a place unless you’ve had the food the locals eat. There were some stops in between so it wasn’t constant eating but definitely go in on an empty stomach.

Great tour. Restaurant selection was great and portions to sample many varieties were great. The guide was very knowledgeable of the food culture.

Very fulFILLING
The food was great, but the tour guide Mohammed was really great, knew his stuff and had great taste in food. My wife and I loved it. additionally, the driver Samir was very good. We would recommend them both to our fiends.

A must do trip for cooks and food lovers
We had an incredible time with The Sugar Queen as our food tour guide in Cairo. We enjoyed a typical Egyptian breakfast of warm bread, delicious falafel, beans and salad. We were even allowed in the kitchen to watch the beans being ground for the falafel. Fantastic!
We were treated to an intoxicating time at a Bedouin spice shop, to learn all about tea and spices. All organically grown and smelled utterly delicious. A cook’s paradise.
A spectacular Egyptian lunch was served to us in one of the most famous and breathtaking views in all of Cairo overlooking the Pyramids of Giza.
Bubbling hot bowls of meat and vegetables in tomato sauce, a vegetable and chicken stock soup served with rice, bread and salad with freshly made tahini.
The sweet treat dessert of local pastries are waiting to be devoured as soon as our tummies have space!
Our driver and tour guide kept us cool with bottles of water and were on hand to help at a moments notice.
It’s a must do tour that gives a visitor a real feel of local food.

Knowledgeable tour guide on Egypt
Amira my guide was a 5/5 - super knowledgeable with an archaeology degree and masters, but also very informative on the local political situation and customs.
The food part consisted of a meal in a restaurant at midday, then a stop for a juice/fruit and finally a stop at a fish stand (I am pescatarian so think it might have made it tricky). There were also souvenir stops at Papyrus store, ingot store, natural product store and essential oils store. In hindsight I probably should have chosen another tour than food, but would highly recommend Amira.
