Bucket list your. Amazing guide.

Outstanding! Our guide, Ali was wonderful. He adapted to our requests. The lunch was terrific at a place with a hot buffet. The car was comfortable and the driver was pleasant, although he had limited English.

Yonis the great!

Yonis, our tour guide was absolutely fantastic!! He made the trip so much better than we could’ve ever imagined! He went above and beyond to make sure our whole group had the best experience ever! We highly recommend booking with him if you have the option! Yonis was so knowledgeable about the whole tour, and made it so easy for us all to understand! We can’t stop talking about how awesome of a day it was!!

Our tour guide was Ahmed....

Our tour guide was Ahmed. There was a small hiccup at the beginning with the meeting point being outside the port, but aside from that, everything went smoothly and just as expected. The tour was packed with history and fascinating information. Ahmed was extremely knowledgeable and spoke with such passion about Egypt’s past, which made the experience even more engaging. If you’re visiting Egypt to truly learn about its history rather than just taking Instagram photos, this is the perfect excursion for you.

Event was good, the guide wasn’t

We LOVE Viator! The current trip we are on we have 22 different tours scheduled with Viator and all have been excellent to date. The tour guide on this particular tour, however, I cannot recommend. Dina was her name. She was difficult to understand when she spoke and when we politely asked her to repeat herself or slow down so we could understand, she spoke to us like we were stupid. She was also on her phone texting most of the time. The real kicker was when she led us to pay 8 TIMES what a souvenir was worth after she was communicating with the seller for us. She didn’t want to take us to the market but encouraged us to go to the “factories” instead where there was a VERY HARD SELL and she earns a commission from whatever we buy. I felt she was dishonest was definitely not there to guide or advocate for us or look out for us. She was 100% trying to fleece us just like the other sales people. She was the most unfriendly guide we have had to date. Again, we have LOVED our other tours and guides and have worked hard at being easy to please. In fact, Dina had to do less than half of the original scheduled tour because I wasn’t feeling well and needed to go back to the ship. She worked 1/2 a day and we tipped her for the entire day because that is what we had scheduled.

Giza is a fantastic experience

The trip to Giza and the pyramids was really great. Our guide Momen was very knowledgeable and the lunch was delicious. The car was clean and our driver did an excellent job getting us around safely and comfortably. Momen has a very thick accent which at times made it a little difficult to understand him but this was a minor problem. We learned a lot about Egypt and it's spectacular and unique history. The old Egyptian museum in Cairo was fabulous and Momen made the visit special with his information. We recommend Momen and this trip.

Fantastic day trip to Giza & the Pyramids for cruise-ship passengers…

Fantastic trip, would highly recommend. We were collected from our cruise ship at Alexandria Port spot on time, with excellent communication in the lead up to our trip…My wife & I had a dedicated driver and an Egyptologist guide (Khaled) looking after us for the full journey. Being just 2 of us, we basically tailor-made things along the way to suit our needs, with extra time at the particular Giza sites that we wanted to see. Following the incredible Pyramids & Sphinx, it was lunch at a super-authentic Egyptian restaurant, then the guided tour of the museum, market time, papyrus market, then back to Alexandria. This was such a well run & excellent value for money tour. Our Egyptologist & guide, Khaled, was a wealth of information, and together with our driver Hamada, we had a fantastic day out. Would highly recommend….excellent value, highly informative, & felt extremely well looked after from start to finish. Great stuff.

Reliable tour

I booked this private tour with much trepidation Which was completely unfounded. The tour guide communicated with me personally using WhatsApp. We met up as planned & the tour was as promised & the guide was early. I was provided both a driver & guide, the car was a station wagon in good shape. This was NOT a van small group tour, we had the car & guide to ourselves. The tour spent about 2 hours at the pyramids, then proceeded to a papairous paper demonstration, then lunch, then 1 hour at the old Egyptian museum. We were offferd as much time as we needed at the museum, we cut it short due to tired feet. There was no security risk, not exceptional hustle by vendors. The guide kept them away. There are 2 reasons for the 4 star review The guide had very heavy Egyptian accent & he tended to hone in too much detail on single items. I would’ve liked to wonder around the pyramids more. The papirous visit came with a sales hustle but the vendor backed off quickly.

Fantastic way to experience the Pyramids & the best of Cairo.

A fantastic way to see the Pyramids & the best of Cairo’s sites all in one day. My wife & I were collected from our cruise ship at the entrance to the Port of Alexandria, & spent the transfers to and from Cairo in a private & air-conditioned super-clean vehicle. Accompanying us was our driver, & our guide & Egyptologist Khaled. Khaled was a wealth of information, & being only 2 of us, we really tailored our time at Giza to suit ourselves. After the incredible pyramids & Sphinx, it was on to a great lunch at a traditional Egyptian restaurant, followed by Khaled’s guided tour of the museum. Then some market time, a quick visit to see some traditional papyrus making, & it was back to Alexandria. Khaled at all times conscious of any time deadlines re our cruise ship. This was a really excellently run, detailed, & excellent value tour, which I’d highly recommend. Great stuff.

First time visiting the Pyramids of Egypt

Our tour guide, Mohammed, was very attentive and professional, he contacted us prior to our scheduled tour to provide detailed instructions to make our experience easy and stress-free. On the day of our tour, we were greeted by our driver exactly where he said we would. Our driver provided us a comfortable and secure ride to Giza from Alexandria. Our guide expertly led us through the crowds to ensure we avoided long lines to enjoy the most of our museum visit. His vast knowledge in Egyptology is impressive! Additionally, Mohammed We also showed us the best spots to take pictures of the pyramids and the sphinx and offered to take several pictures for us which we are very grateful for. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to visit the pyramids with a friendly and professional guide. He is multi-lingual and can speak various languages.

Very disappointing

First and worst there was no communication as to where to meet. Other excursions we had purchased at other ports sent a message immediately after we booked to confirm our booking and gave amazing details as to where to meet. Our excursion we chose for 7am they later changed to 8:30. At 8am we were off ship and searching all over area where busses were for our group. At 8:30 my wife asked a few people for the time and informed them that we were looking for our tour bus. We were told then that they were most likely over the bridge and outside the gate. Took us just under 10 minutes to power walk that distance which made us late. Our guide came to meet us outside the gate and said that he'd sent a message the day before and seemed irritated. Since we were on the ocean at the time he sent the message and we still had no internet once we got off of the ship, that message may as well never been sent. Both Alexandria and Cairo were filthy, unkept and badly run down. Traffic was horrendous with people incessantly honking at each other. In Cairo there were beggars everywhere even in the restrooms where they were asking for money for toilet paper. The tour rushed us through the main sites at Cairo that we were there to see and then took us to a Bazaar no one asked for where we were given too much time. The entire experience was very disappointing.
