Best of Alexandria

Rasha and Kareem are the best! They were extremely accommodating and knew exactly how to design my solo trip though I gave them only a very general idea of what I was hoping to do. They are two of the friendliest people I've ever met and were keen to show me all sides of Alexandria. At the end, Kareem was able to get me a reservation at the best seafood restaurant on the beach while Rasha and I finished up the final museum. Both speak excellent English and are good at fending off aggressive vendors in high traffic areas. 10/10 recommend them for anyone visiting Alexandria!

Best Tour Guide in Alexandria

Karim was by far the best tour guide we could have asked for. He went significantly beyond his call of duty to help us during our tour of Alexandria. First thing when we arrived in Alexandria by train (in the early morning) we were greeted — not just at the train station, but right outside our train carriage door by Karim who had dutifully waited for us before our arrival. What followed was a mesmerising tour of Alexandria’s Catacombs, Mosques, Forts, Roman Amphitheatre and Downtown in a structured, informative and well-explained manner (no doubt attributed to Karim’s trilingual skills and nineteen years of experience in the industry). We also had a lovely lunch and a Shwarma place where Karim sat with us to eat and enjoy the meal together (something we did not experience with our other guides) Moreover, he is clearly well informed not just of the place — but the people in the city ad well (from other tour guides, to security, to shopowners) which made our adventure an absolute breeze past the numerous checkpoints and busy streets. His vibrant personality and quick-witted sense of humour was an excellent addition to our tour. Credit must also be given to our driver, who was absolutely skilled at navigating the crowded intersections and find shortcuts to allow us a swift return to our train station during the busy rush hour. We therefore emphasise that you should request for Karim during your trip to Alexandria. Written by Zach and friends (students from Singapore) regarding our January trip to Egypt.

Wonderful day

I had a wonderful tour with Rasha in Alexandria. She was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable. I traveled from Cairo by bus in the morning and she picked me up and droped off at the bus station after the tour. She helped me by taking nice photographs too. We covered the most important sites in Alexandria and she also included my special requests which I am very thankful. We had a nice walk in the city and she helped me to taste traditional food. Altogether it was a wonderful day thanks to Rasha. I recommend her for anybody who wants to have a day tour in Alexandria. Thank you so much for the nice day in beautiful Alexandria.

Amazing experience!

Rasha is a beautiful person and a super professional guide. I don’t regret hiring her services because they made us spend an extraordinary day: we learned a lot about Alexandria, its people and its history. This tour is the best way to visit the big city in a comfortable way because Rasha and Karim, the friendly and fun driver, adapt to your likes and pace. You will visit the most important places without rushing and they will help you in any way they can and will give you the best advice so that your stay in the city is magnificent. I would repeat a thousand times more with these people and I feel very grateful to have enjoyed this. Especially recommended if you are in the city for a short time because it is very complete.

Alexandria city tour

My wife & I enjoyed our day tour with Rasha. She took us to the highlights of the city that should not be missed. We appreciate Rasha's flexibility & underatanding, especially since we brought our baby daughter along. I'd also note that our driver was very gracious in sharing about the city & life in general. The tour proceeded at our pace, and we are glad we got a chance to learn the city's history & enjoy a nice day out.

Absolute best Alexandria tour from start to finish!

What a wonderful experience from beginning to end!! Rasha (and Karim our driver) were not only an absolute delight, but super knowledgeable and extremely flexible. They made our trip to Alexandria memorable and one that we will absolutely never forget. We had already seen the citadel on our own the day before by chance, which was originally part of this tour, but they were very kindly willing for us to move things around and go see other things in it’s place instead. We saw the Catacombs, Pompey’s Pillar, Ancient Roman Amphitheater / ancient university ruins, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (that is a stunning display of both a variety of worlds books/multimedia in all global languages as well as stunning architecture / art and inside we also chose to purchase extra tickets to go to their Antiquities Museum and Ancient Manuscripts Museum - which is totally worth it [only £30 extra for each] as well as the modern Egyptian art section in the lower level of the library, the latter of which is free), they were very kind to drive through the Bazaar due to time restriction based on all our other selections - which was super interesting to see, late lunch at Gad restaurant (SO delicious and even got to watch a World Cup match together - I highly recommend their pies [similar to a calzone-pizza type food]), and then finally went to the Royal Jewelry Museum (an absolutely stunning royal villa from time passed, which was not originally on our itinerary as well, but we made a choice to go there instead of the National Museum - and was totally worth it!). All in all, if we could do it all over again, we would! We both HIGHLY recommend choosing this tour if you will be traveling to Alexandria. You will love it!

There is much to discover in Alexandria

We spent a whole day in Alexandria with Rasha and driver Karim in Alexandria. The two have adapted to our wishes and have shown us many interesting places in Alexandria. We found the architecture of the new library with the Sadat Museum and the catacombs particularly impressive. We had a wonderful day with Rasha and Karim and really enjoyed the time together.

Walking Tour of Alexandria

We asked Rasha to do a private walking tour of Alexandria for 2 of us. She listened to our varied requests and put together a fantastic day for us involving a mix of ancient sights, modern history & architecture, shopping in the souks (she helped me buy wonderful Egyptian spices from a lovely old fashioned shop) and coffee & cake at a classic cafe. It felt like a friend showing us round Alexandria. Can't wait to return and repeat the very special experience. She was patient, charming and intelligent and answered many questions about both Alexandria and Egyptian life. Highly recommend.
